Little brother, I pray your strength in the Lord. God sends these 10 plagues to not only show the nation of Israel that He is God (Yahweh) but also the Egyptians. Each of the plagues He sends is an afront to each of their gods (they worshipped 10 main ones)...Yahweh was showing that there is no God but Him (Deuteronomy 6:4) otherwise known as the Shema. Wherefore God tells Pharoah in Exodus 9:17 "But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth." And because of this, all the other nations feared Yahweh and the Israelites for what He did to Egypt and their gods....for Yahweh is a God who fights for His people. Amen!
