Spectrum will only display 256 files per folder. Also, it won't accept any larger than 32GB even when formatted to FAT32. I have just tried a FAT32 formatted 32GB drive with alphabetical folders containing games and it doesn't even recognise the USB stick, so I'm now trying flashing the USB stick with one of the recommended images. Such a pain in the arse. Why didn't they just build the fucking thing to accept any USB drive and let you run your .TZX, .TAP, .Z80 files from there???? Seems like a stupid thing to have done to limit it to FAT32 when it's now such an ancient old fashioned and limited format standard. My guess is because this is an emulator which only allows FAT32 because it's Chinese.
But doesn’t the Spectrum only except 32Gb or smaller? That’s what it says in the support material on RetoGames?
