I used to not think much of this song when the Buzzcocks first released it. But to find Pete Shelley still singing about the love affair decades later gave it meaning to me.
I love this Song. 🤟 Pete Shelley is the Buzzcocks! His Voice trendsends a Generation. 🎸 He was a Leader of a Underrated Band but Played with ❤ R.I.P. Mate ✌
The Buzzcocks were part of my youth from the mid seventies saw them many in Manchester Classic concerts at Manchester Apollo I now live in Stockholm Sweden last saw them here at Fry Huset in Hammerby Stockholm only Pete Shelley and Steve Diggle from the original line up but did they still rock full on I,am 60 years old now still listening to them RIP Pete Shelley you and your great band made my youth
You don't get to go to heaven just by doing what you want. This is a misconception on how to live your life. The appearance of being a 'good person' is a delightful fantasy but the reality is: As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:10
Saw them in the basement at the rave a few years ago when they came to milwaukee. It was so fucking cool, we were front row, and they played on the floor. No barrier. It was the coolest.
These guys still sound great. Close your eyes and it's 1979 again. I saw them again after their reunion with Pete Shelley back in the mid-90s. Great show. After the last song they destroyed like 40 t.v.sets that they had piled onstage.
best old classic live performance i saw in the last 10 x years on yt. incredible. i exspected the very worse and i am positively shocked. how fucking well played. soooo much power. crazy.
Cómo me arrepiento... :(
R.I.P. Pete..you have left us ..but we will forever remember you as we play the music and listen.. so truth be told you,ll never be forgotten.... and as anyone growing up or listening to the buzzcocks..we are grateful for all the wonderful music over the years...never stop listening.
He was still a cheeky looking chap back then.................Cool as fuck and a brilliant song that stood the test of time and will for many more years to come.
I had never seen Pete Shelley as an older man, & would NEVER had recognised him in a million years. But then he opened his mouth, it couldn’t be anyone elses. The unmistakeable ‘DU-HUH-HURRTTT & I’M HURT’ goosebumps
