How has it been six years since this video?! Braun recently released a new hair removal tool, but it's a trimmer, not an epilator (trimmers are better for sensitive skin)

Please answer. After i have used it for few months both given batteries are dead and changed the batteries with duracell ultra AA batteries. With them they dont work well please suggest me the best batteries to replace.

0:50 years ago, I mean '94-95 I bought my mum a facial epilator very similar to this. It looked almost identical but the body was more thin. It had a spinning head with 4-5 tweezers type plates.
It was a really good hair remover, I went from 20 minutes removing hair by hand to just 4-5 minutes. When I removed the guard I was always surprised by how much hair, thick and thin, it had removed.
The head was very short (1.5-2 cm) and designed for use around the mouth area.

And the best thing is you don't have to wait for the hair to grow and then remove ,it removes even the smallest hair
If you dont have problem with tweezing your upper lip and can tolerate little pain then this is the best thing

Question: Have you used this facial epilator on your chin? Or has anyone else talked about chin use? The chin is the area I most need this epilator. Several of my chin hairs are very coarse, so hoping this works well on dark, course hair. Will buy if it works well on the chin. Thank you.

I get breakouts on my upper lip too from threading or waxing! I have a few questions.
1)But you said you only used it in between your eyebrows and its not precise enough for shaping them? so how do you groom your eyebrows?
2) Does it work for removing hair from the forehead, sideburn, chin also?
3) I've read somewhere on your video about the silk epil 9 epilator that your facial epilator from braun has broken down and you use that for your face now. So do you think it's worth spending Rs. 4000 or so on an epilator just for your face that will break down in a few months and doesn't even work for the whole face???

Hi Mani Murugesan! I haven't tested the series 7 model so can't comment on that. But if it's mainly for the face I'd recommend you go with this one as it's gentle but effective & through. The whole thing is formulated just for the face & I have been really happy using it though I have sensitive skin, haven't gone to a parlour for threading for so many months now!

I've been reading reviews and lots if people say the battery life is terrible and after 3-4 uses the device starts to slow down despite changing batteries.

If your mom is used to plucking, should be fine. Go for it. This doesn't hurt much more & in fact would be over quicker too.

It's the Braun Face 831 Epilator With Cleansing Brush Beauty Edition. Do you perhaps know what the difference is? As far as I can tell, the Beauty Edition one includes a pouch and mirror, but I'd still like to know if there's a difference...
Hey Zakiyah! Sorry for such a late reply. I don't think the beauty edition is available in India, but I did so some research & you're right, there's nothing different except the presentation & extras. If you think that's a good deal, go for it otherwise you're still getting the same face epilator in both packages :)

till now i have only done threading for my eyebrows, never touched upper lips and side blocks.
my upper lips has very little baby soft hair and my side blocks are very bushy - would epilator or trimmer be recommended?

Hi Magali what about the hair that grows after the epilator has been used? I have a sensitive acne prone skin, is an epilator still advisable? I wish to use it for my side locks mainly & I am concerned about the post usage growth.
I have the same type of skin, gets irritated super easily. As long as you take special care, preferably do it at night & don't use any harsh or strongly fragrance beauty or skincare products soon after you should be fine. Personally I haven't tried it on my sidelocks but I don't see how it should be an issue.

I purchased this.... but my tweezers are moving really very slow and battery life is toooo short. Is it like that with everyone? Or do I need to send mine for service?
That sounds wrong. Have you tried changing the batteries or buying different brand batteries? If that doesn't help please contact them because it sounds defective and should be covered under warranty.

It doesn't grow quickly as it's pulled from the root, similar to waxing. And no it won't darken your skin at all :)

No, my video shows everything you get in the box. There were some fancier more expensive editions with pouch & mirror but not sure if those are available in India anymore.

Hi Harsha, Yes you absolutely can. And you don't need this epilator just for that. First I would suggest you invest in a good quality tweezer (I have a few from Tweezerman, they are a bit expensive but very good). Basically any tweezer that is precise & can pluck even small hair.
Then get your eyebrows done in a parlor, after two-three days when you see first extra hair growing, pluck it with a tweezer. Be sure to only pluck the hair that is growing, not your existing hair as you might overpluck. So if you use a tweezer for maybe 10 mins every 2 - 3 days, you can keep your brows well groomed & only go to the parlor after a few months

Hi Aisha, yes the packaging clearly indicated you can remove sideburn hair. I don't remove mine though, so I didn't test it on that area. But it should work without any issues. :)

Ankita this is an epilator that removes hair from the root and that is a trimmer, which is similar to a razor. I cannot say either method is better because each has their pros and cons and ultimately depends on your personal preference. But both are definitely good at what they do, so whatever you choose, you won't be disappointed.

Hi rani, I have been using it on my face for months now without any issues, & I have sensitive skin too. I don't think you should face any side effects from using this.

You can use it either side, depends on the direction of hair growth, your dominant hand etc. I use it both sides, so don't stress :)

@@discoveryouuu8763 Almost 99% (or more) of all electronics are manufactured in China, including ones from Indian brands. There is no other close alternative to this, but you could try waxing or shaving for hair removal as alternatives.
