idk if you guys noticed but the guy was composing his part throughout the movie to match what he heard from his mystery cinderella, that's why it fits so well at the end of the movie. he literally made it to be like a duet piece for her
I was the right age (as a 9 year old) when this movie came out and as a Jonas Brothers fan of course I had to watch it. And boy, did I love this movie and its sequal, like I loved it as much as some people love High School Muscial. To a point that one of the songs of the second movie is still in my favorites playlist (Introducing Me, because I am a sucker for stupid songs like that) I know that this movie is not the best Disney channel movie out there, that it really isn't objectively great, but fuck it. It will always have a special place in my heart
They didn’t know Margaret’s name was Margaret because she went by Peggy which is short for Margaret…language is strange. Margaret was Meggy, Meg, Meg became Peg - became Peggy. There’s a lot of background to this over the years but essentially most people born after the 80s wouldn’t know at the time this released just to give us a “shock” that she would perform alone. The person singing for her is Renee Sands though, amazing singer who was a child actor/musician.
I went to choir camp for many years. Can confirm groups of kids would break out in song and others would hear and just join.. Many times we got the entire camp of like 150 kids singing together it was awesome
I was actually hesitant to watch this because I didn't think the energy and comedy would be the same considering you two aren't in the same room but next thing I know I'm 15 minutes in and very much enjoying myself lmao you two are super engaging and funny regardless of being in the same space and I honestly don't think a lot of reactors can pull that off

I understand what you guys are saying about how you were in high school, even though I can't realate. I've been speaking in public since I was 15 and it's always been a performance for me, rather than just talking. In school I was called out by teachers, in other places I've been called out by executives. In both cases, I called them out and they actually backed off. One of the advantages of not being intimidated.

I actually go to a 'rock camp' every summer, and its so funny how completely different it is to this movie- like it may be different cause I'm not American, but its so different in the way that like: basically at the start of the week you get placed into bands (with 1-2 older musicians as mentors (the camps for 13-17 yr olds) and in that band we have to write an original song that then gets performed on the Saturday. and ofc like during the week each instrument gets split and you have like lessons in that, along with around 2 hours a day with your actual band. Also we get to have a workshop each day, and its ranged from stuff like songwriting, to how to 'DIY' like actually being a band (like learning how to effectively design merch, etc) so yeah, watching this movie is so wild cause their camp feels so disorganized-
"My brothers just never leave my head... That's why we're called Connect 3" I DIED 😂 😂 😂 Your sense of humour is priceless, guys! Camp Rock is pure cringe but I still love it, it's my favourite childhood movie. Edit: please watch part 2!
Can't believe ya'll Made me laugh My lungs out to one of my favorite childhood movies... God we were sooo buying this lmao Also i always took "rock" as the hability to rock something... like... To move people/to be cool/to have rythm. I never thought about the rock genre as the reason for the name.
I never watched this specifically because of all the point you both had- as in the lack of rock music. As I was really into rock at the time. But I'm glad to see this abridged version with you guys
I've only ever watched this movie once, and I hated it so much that I never planned on watching it again. But I suppose I'll have to watch it now vicariously through you since you made a video on it. Worth it for your commentary.
There was actually a camp near my house that was all for fine arts that was very similar to camp rock minus all the random bursting into song. But the people dancing or singing or playing while walking around is so real (to my experience) it’s almost painful
I don't know if this has already been requested, but "Good Will Hunting" or "Dead Poets Society" are two of my favorite films that I would love your commentaries/reactions on!
"ShE's ReAlLy GoOd!!" Lives in my head rent free. I thought this movie was The Shit as a kid, which was weird because this was NEVER my type of movie. Songs are a bop tho
As someone who loved going to camps, classes and learn and actually got SO excited. But my insecurities and anxiety made me not be able to go perform or show what I created. I feel so judged with every “THEN WHY DID YOU GO?!” 😂
I’ve always been a fan of cheesy TV movies, so of course I watched this when it came out, but this one is kind of low on the list of DCOM musicals for me. I love Demi’s voice and I think it’s only gotten better over the years, but I think the movie is kind of just generic, and most of the music isn’t very memorable. Also the music aspect of this movie is so weird. Because this one isn’t really set up as a traditional musical where people just burst into song, they’re legitimately singing in “real life”. You guys pointed it out, but I totally agree that the harmonies when it’s one person singing and the auto tune when it’s supposed to be live-without a microphone-makes no sense.
The hip hop dance class always cracks me up because it is lead by Joe Jonas who is not a dancer with Alison Stoner RIGHT THERE who is one of the best hip hop dancers of that era of child actors.
Never expected to see the Movie Budz doing camp rock welcome surprise you think this is a wild ride wait till 2 for reference Joe is shayne Kevin is the one who wants the birdhouse aka Jason and nick is nate

Kaitlyn was the producer of the song so that's why she didn't perform lol. Nick which was the curly head jonas actually plays the drums, all of them do play the guitar. Shane is Joe and the "dumb" one is Kevin. Their younger brother frankie is in the 2nd movie.
Camp rock and the emergence of the Disney Knees- ICONIC
When Caitlin had her laptop resting on the wooden rail above the lake my anxiety 📈😂
so glad i’m not the only one who noticed
For real though, Demi is such a talented singer! She was only 15 when they filmed this, and she sang live in a lot of these scenes.
To this day my biggest flex is taking a few dance classes in LA where Alyson Stoner (Caitlyn) was the guest instructor, she's the coolest.
Loved the vid Budz! Remarkable how good your chemistry is from quarantine.
I know it must have been a pain to edit but the streaming translated really well! Enjoyed this video just as much as your usual fare (if not more so because I was OBSESSED with Camp Rock back in the day, haha)
PS. That was Joe!
It’s funny cause it was better in some ways but worse in others, not bad overall. Just time consuming. Glad you enjoyed it! 😊 - Sam
This set up works really well. Appreciate y'all
I appreciate the editing on this. A lot of the time when people do this online Skype type video there’s a lot of awkward pauses and stuff but you did really good with this!
Really hoping you guys do School of Rock one of these days (it has actual rock in it haha) Also I see your list of channels in the description doesn't include PrettyMuchIt - super funny movie commentary highlights worth checking out :) Thanks for another great video Budz!
yes yes yes to this whole comment
My dad is jack blacks literal twin. So much it’s scary. I can’t watch any jack black movie especially one with a romantic interest except the holiday. I do enjoy watching that movie especially with my dad lol. It is weird though 😂😂
When I first clicked on this video I thought it was School of Rock, then I realized it wasn't and was like "Oh, I guess I wouldn't mind watching this either".
omg yesss they gotta do School of Rock!
idk if you guys noticed but the guy was composing his part throughout the movie to match what he heard from his mystery cinderella, that's why it fits so well at the end of the movie. he literally made it to be like a duet piece for her
I was the right age (as a 9 year old) when this movie came out and as a Jonas Brothers fan of course I had to watch it.
And boy, did I love this movie and its sequal, like I loved it as much as some people love High School Muscial. To a point that one of the songs of the second movie is still in my favorites playlist (Introducing Me, because I am a sucker for stupid songs like that)
I know that this movie is not the best Disney channel movie out there, that it really isn't objectively great, but fuck it. It will always have a special place in my heart
I loved Introducing Me because here in Mexico they translated it to Introduce it to me and it’s so stupid but I love it
omfg you just unlocked a memory I forgot I had, I just played that song and still remember it word for word 😭
If you are doing more DCOMS please do Lemonade Mouth
They didn’t know Margaret’s name was Margaret because she went by Peggy which is short for Margaret…language is strange. Margaret was Meggy, Meg, Meg became Peg - became Peggy. There’s a lot of background to this over the years but essentially most people born after the 80s wouldn’t know at the time this released just to give us a “shock” that she would perform alone.
The person singing for her is Renee Sands though, amazing singer who was a child actor/musician.
I gotta say it, I love these guys, their comments are so witty, they just make me laugh a lot.
Thanks for your content!!
You guys have to watch starstruck, I used to be obsessed with that movie 😭
At this point, I don't even watch movies anymore. I just watch you guys watching movies.
Yesss this movie was my childhood.. also loved how demi sang the song in the end 🤣🤣🤣
I went to choir camp for many years. Can confirm groups of kids would break out in song and others would hear and just join.. Many times we got the entire camp of like 150 kids singing together it was awesome
I was actually hesitant to watch this because I didn't think the energy and comedy would be the same considering you two aren't in the same room but next thing I know I'm 15 minutes in and very much enjoying myself lmao you two are super engaging and funny regardless of being in the same space and I honestly don't think a lot of reactors can pull that off
Just letting y'all know: Demi Lovato has come out as NB and goes by they/them, in case you end up doing more commentaries involving them in the future! This was a great one, BTW :)
25:23 it absolutely was a thing. My friends and I used to do this to each other in late elementary/early middle school. Granted that was in 00-04. Not when this film came out. 😬😬 And definitely not in highschool LMAO.
This movie is so nostalgic! When it comes to nostalgic teenage movies in the future, you guys should definitely watch (A Walk To Remember)!
❤️❤️
DIED laughing because as a kid I was OBSESSED with this movie and I remember picking up on all the things you pointed out so thank you for pointing out all the bullshit
Come on guys, everyone knows the Jonas Brothers are a hivemind. They'll consume us all eventually
Oh yeaah, the new arrangement!! Now i have a crush on both of them _but closer to the camera,_ i liked it!! Thanks budz, great work! 💗
Tess has a lot of nerve to talk shit about Michie’s mom when her own mom was too busy to even be apart of her life
FR
I was more of a HSM Fan but i vividly remember scenes from the second one I cringe and cry-laugh remembering them
I love how dedicated these two are with their channel! I’m sure it wasn’t easy to coordinate this video given the circumstances but the video was amazing as always. Love the commentary 😍
oh wow, the movie that started my hair color journey :D i needed to have demis hair color :D
excited to see your reactions :D
Hope you enjoyed it Darie 😊 - Sam
You budz did so well! I enjoyed the editing of this reaction, a lil tricky I'm sure.
love you both stay safe
I understand what you guys are saying about how you were in high school, even though I can't realate. I've been speaking in public since I was 15 and it's always been a performance for me, rather than just talking. In school I was called out by teachers, in other places I've been called out by executives. In both cases, I called them out and they actually backed off. One of the advantages of not being intimidated.
you guys did a fabulous job!! Thanks so much for the upload; you two make cheezy movies better and so much fun. Was having a tough day and this really helped so thanks. Lockdown sucks but you've picked up new skills - yah you!!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed this one Cherry!
Always trying to add new skills 👌😋 - sam
You guys did a really great job filming in two different locations, we really appreciate all the hard work that went into making this video run smoothly, thank you so so much! Loved this as always 😊♥️🔥🥰
Very much appreciated 😊 - Sam
I love that they watched Camp Rock, but wHAT ABOUT LEMONADE MOUTH, LIKE C'MON! that movie is so cool.
I actually go to a 'rock camp' every summer, and its so funny how completely different it is to this movie-
like it may be different cause I'm not American, but its so different in the way that like:
basically at the start of the week you get placed into bands (with 1-2 older musicians as mentors (the camps for 13-17 yr olds) and in that band we have to write an original song that then gets performed on the Saturday.
and ofc like during the week each instrument gets split and you have like lessons in that, along with around 2 hours a day with your actual band. Also we get to have a workshop each day, and its ranged from stuff like songwriting, to how to 'DIY' like actually being a band (like learning how to effectively design merch, etc)
so yeah, watching this movie is so wild cause their camp feels so disorganized-
absolutely love y’all! and your channel!
5:10 the actress/dancer that plays Caitlyn is actually really talented lol. I feel so sorry for her...
God we were sooo buying this lmao
Also i always took "rock" as the hability to rock something... like... To move people/to be cool/to have rythm. I never thought about the rock genre as the reason for the name.
Every teen music movie have the villain sing a song about being awsome, rich and hot
Camp rock was my childhood. It’s cheesy but entertaining. Also all those jackets behind steph???? That’s sending me 😂 I do like the set up though
Worth it for your commentary.
my notifs are off but i just saw this pop up and hell YES this used to be my favorite movie when i was younger 😂 i love your videos so much 😎
There was actually a camp near my house that was all for fine arts that was very similar to camp rock minus all the random bursting into song.
Wow you guys make recording in different spaces look easy! Thanks for doing this to keep the content coming! Hope you all stay safe and sound💟
"There's so much cheese it's gonna make me lactose intolerant." That had me rolling!!!!!!!!!! Haha!! best line ever!
This is Camp Cringe. I loved it as a kid, celebrating it ironically as an adult.
As someone who loved going to camps, classes and learn and actually got SO excited. But my insecurities and anxiety made me not be able to go perform or show what I created. I feel so judged with every “THEN WHY DID YOU GO?!” 😂
Yall did a fantastic job editing this- totally felt the same
I’ve always been a fan of cheesy TV movies, so of course I watched this when it came out, but this one is kind of low on the list of DCOM musicals for me.
