Everyone struggling with your iPhone showing the device as headphones instead of a microphone. For me, even though it registers as a headphone I can still record with it as a microphone. It’s just that you can’t hear audio until you unplug the Hollyland from your iPhone. In short, it still records audio, you just can’t hear it back until after you have unplugged the Hollyland
I bought the Hollyland USB-C to 3.5mm adapter but it's not working on my iPhone 15. It works perfectly on my Android, but not on the iPhone... Does anyone know how to solve it? Thanks
So I bought a cable (lightning to trs) and I used the grey and black cable it came with and set up the mic then I recorded it on camera and voice memos and there is no audio on each of the samples so i don’t know if it is my phone or the cable.(I have a iPhone 11)
May I ask you something ? I have the holly land LM1 and an iPhone 15. I connect the mini jack with an extension cord of iPhone (which is USb C on iPhone 15). The microphone works, I have tested it moving around the house but the sound is very very veryyyy low. How come ? Do I do something wrong ? I push the sound up on adobe premiere but it’s’ very strange because I need to ad 10 decibel on my sound. I have another external microphone boya and a Sony zv camera, and with this device the sound is so loud that I need to reduce of 5 decibels. It’s like iPhone is blocking my LM1
@@cris_photography Yes I've tried everything. I've also contacted Apple and Hollyland. Its seems to be an issue with the built camera app of Apple. When I film with Filmic Pro, I don't have this issue. The LM1 work perfectly on my Sony ZV1F though... Hollyland says also that when the microphone volume is too high, the cell phone will automatically reduce the recording volume... Not sure what to think about that :D Fortunately, I can level the volume up in Adobe Premiere... but still, I feel disappointed :(
I am still struggling to connect this Hollyland lark m1 to my iphone 13 pro - I got this mircophone in December 2023 and I have tried various adaptors as I was only supplied a trrs to trs cable. It works on my old andriod phone but not on my old iphone 11 or current 13 pro. So frustrating
Oh here you answer my previous question. This is VERY weird. It should be plug and play - never had an issue. Any Bluetooth devices plugged to the phone?
@@cris_photography I have tried bluetooth off as well as wifi off etc too. Honestly it's not working with the Hollyland Lightning to 3.5mm Adapter from Hollyland either - for iphone 11 or 13 pro. Everytime I try googling it your video comes up in the AI drop down for the answers.

Good question ! I usually use them both using the camera but didn’t really look into the audio that much to handle the tracks separately, wouldn’t know. I’d be curious to know though. Maybe filmic pro?
Do you know through what I can record my voice through? I have the receiver and mic connected and their lights are on but when I go to video or voice memos on my iPhone it does not catch my voice.
It dowsn't work for me. I have the cable and plugged it just was you did and it only records using the mic of the phone. As a walk away the audio gets lower and lower so it's not using the Hollyland receiver.
@@varolucho Yes. I needed to plug in an Apple Lighting to 3.5 TRRS adapter cable into the phone, then plug the Hollyland TRRS to TRS cable into the Apple adaptor, and then plug the TRS end of the Hollyland cable into the receiver. Then it worked.

That’s not good 🤦🏻 Maybe it is because it’s an iPhone 10 (some software related issue). Have you tried (or been able to try) on a more recent phone? That might indeed solve the issue. As to the quality sounding worse, you might want to try changing the settings AND make sure the “noise canceling” option is off (is the light on the transmitters is green it means it’s on - make sure it’s blue by pressing the yellow button on the side)

I have the Lark m1 and an iPhone 15 pro max, and the Apple usb-c to headphone to connect the receiver to my phone and it does not work. Is the lark m1 not comparable with the iPhone 15?
Are you able to hear the audio when you play the videos in the photos app with the microphone connected ? Hi there, No, I can't hear the audio if my receiver is plugged to the phone - have to remove it to hear (it sees it as an external mic otherwise). So that's that. But as long as you can use the mics to record - they do their job and it's good. Cheers
Thank you for this tip. I bought mine a month ago and haven't test it yet. Looking forward to make videos using this accessory. 😊
