  • About the Event
Dapsone is a sulfur-based drug originally used to treat leprosy. It has been adopted for treating Lyme disease because of its anti-inflammatory qualities, ability to attack persister cells, penetration into the central nervous system, as well as increasing patient’s immune responses.
Dr. Horowitz has been on the cutting edge of adopting this therapy for use in treating tick-borne diseases. In 2020, Dr. Horowitz published an in vivo study outlining the efficacy of his Double Dapsone protocol on a patient population. They also published an in virto study on intracellular uses of the drug. In this study, they proved that dapsone is effective against persistent forms of the disease. He plans to publish an additional study on his expanded Quad Dapsone protocol later this month, right before the event takes place.
Ali Moresco completed Dr. Horowtiz’s Dapsone therapy earlier this year, making her the perfect person to join this panel with him. She will discuss the patient’s experience while taking this drug and how she feels now.

    About the Guests
Dr. Richard Horowitz is a board-certified internist and the medical director of the Hudson Valley Healing Arts Center, an integrative medical center that combines both classical and complementary approaches in the treatment of Lyme disease and other tick-borne disorders. He has treated over 13,000 Lyme and tick-borne disease patients in the last 30 years, with patients coming from all over the US, Canada, and Europe to his clinic.
Ali Moresco is the founder of Moresco Public Relations + Communications. Once focusing on entertainment PR and talent relations, Moresco made a pivot to healthcare PR four years ago when her world was turned upside down by an undiagnosed illness. It took her two years and eight specialists to find a doctor that would eventually crack the case- multiple complex chronic diseases and tick-borne diseases. Fortunately, Moresco pulls her experience living with chronic disease and “professional patient” skills to provide clients with experience-backed communications strategies in building loyal, long-lasting relationships with both media and patient communities. Ali also serves as a member of Project Lyme’s Board of Directors.

If I have a doctor that's willing to put me on this protocol, how can I point them in the right direction to learn the protocol and potentially ask for further advice if needed.
    Are there links, numbers, etc?
    Thanks.
