    Favorite newly discovered song. It's like 1994 and I'm at Second Story in Bloomington, Indiana. I'm at the bar with my back to the stage trying to get another twenty-five cent beer. A band I know nothing about starts playing a song like this. I turn and look through the thick smoke across the bar to the stage. I am transfixed by this sound. The song ends and I am standing at the front of the stage. I don't know how I got there

    Another awesome Aussie song that reminds me of early days of my life around 17 to 20. The certain style and memories and experiences i had. Just reminds me of a nice aussie day having a vb with the Commodore on the front lawn and the old hills hoist in the back yard the certain smell in the air. I just miss certain days and the way they make you feel. Some days are just magical.

    Camp Cope is a fantastic band. If they tour the American Southeast again, we would love to host a concert in Savannah, Georgia.

    Hey just out of curiosity, what's wrong with owning books on socialising and making friends? Like what if someone with social anxiety or autism spectrum disorder had trouble making friends and wanted to read a book to help them out? And if there's nothing wrong with it, then why did the singer say it about their ex like it was a bad thing? (Not to mention naming a whole album after it)

      @Sojorlos 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I mean, I think the bad part is "That he talks to the primary school kids through the fence" it's pretty obvious that the narrating voice and the subject were in an intimate relationship where he was way older. Maybe he's trying to have another one of those even if he's already married.

      @@Sojorlos I agree that's bad to be preying on much younger women. But then again, what does that have to do with owning books on socialising and making friends?

    Does anyone else finds the main melody too similar to The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth?

      Why do people with Social Anxiety Disorder and autism need to be 'called out'?

    • @efraz445
      @efraz445 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Well I think in the context of this song it's a manipulative type of behavior

    • @douglassmith5255
      @douglassmith5255 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Really? You think this person has self help books on their shelf for the sole purpose of manipulation? No one does that. This song is clearly a jab at people with mental health issues. Maybe Camp Cope just love kicking people when they're down, I don't know.

    The lyrics to this song make it sound like the singer's making fun of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder. I feel like that's a low blow, you shouldn't be attacking people who are lonely and trying to improve their lives.

      I really think she isn't, it's just what her friend told her about her ex, and how people try to improve themselves

      I have autism and Have had social issues due to it in the past, but I don’t see it in the lyrics. At least not explicitly.
      I have issues with this band in other area though I kind of like, based on what I am reading from you, it sounds like you are making a mountain out of a molehill.

    Holy lord in Heaven and Earth, please save my soul from the demon that’s brewing inside me. You see God, I’ve sinned. I’ve sinned by clicking on this video and listening to this hemaroid of song. Now I’m afraid there’s something lurking deep inside of my soul. Hey I’m sure the people in this band are very nice and sweet people, but hey, don’t quit your day job. The only time this kind of awful singing is allowed is when aliens arrive at Earth with the intent to kill. This is when we bring out the big guns and play them this horrible, screechy death rattle. Please Triple J, I’ve had to replace my radio 3 times this week due to this song. The horrendous, bogan screaming is not at all good for anyone radio.
