Hello and thank you for watching my video. Moth caterpillar prevention begins at the end of the season. Moth caterpillars spend the winter as pupae in rolled leaves or as larvae on the ground under old mulch or fallen leaves so be sure to clean up the garden each fall. Remove old mulch under plants and clear out as many rolled leaves as possible. If you see that they are starting to damage 20 percent of the plant or more, or come back yearly, you can spray the leaves in the spring with an insecticide, such as Ortho Insect, Mite & Disease 3-in-1 Ready to Use. The spray will work best if you apply it before the caterpillars get inside the roll and make sure to spray the undersides of the leaves as well where the young pests begin feeding. Hoe I was able to help. Please keep me updated on your strawberry plants. Be well and Happy Gardening!!!
Hi, i have been starting to grow strawberries from seeds, now that they are getting a little bit big, the Leafs on them turn into like a bowl, do you know why or how i can make them look like normal again? thanks
Hello and thank you for watching my video. It's really impressive that you are growing your own strawberries from seed. Do you know what variety you're growing? Some strawberry varieties have large/larger sized leaves but that shouldn't impact the fruit production nor the flavoring of the fruit. Have your strawberries produced a yield for you this past season? I would also try to use a fertilizer that is low on Nitrogen and high on phosphorus and potassium to encourage less leaf growth and better root strength and more blooms hence more berries. I hope I was able to help. Please keep me updated. Be well and Happy Gardening!!!
