How do I go back to Android 10 ? I'm very disappointed and my apps like Disney plus are not working. I update dthose other apps just to see if it would work and no it doesn't. I'm very disappointed I don't know how to change it
5:05 What is exactly "unused" ? What if the app wakes up for some stuff or just on boot? Or always running in foreground service? 10:55 Querying apps became broken, actually, even if you have visibility of all apps. Try this: Have multiple camera apps that can handle Intent of picking image/video . Then try to query which apps can handle it. You won't see them anymore, even though they can handle them. You can send them an Intent directly, but then it means you need to check if each is installed, which is terrible. 12:16 What about Intent to open in web browser instead of not-in-web-browser? 16:43 Granting all-files-access is not for "all files" at all. The entire ".../Android/data" can't be reached. Ruins all kinds of file-managers this way. I couldn't even use SAF for this.
Unfortunately, parts of this so-called "protecting user data" is not ready enough to be enforced. Please fix SAF api issues, like speed, losing permissions within 10 secs etc.
LG-K42 on Android 10 runs our USB OTG endoscope camera. When LG-K42 is upgraded to Android 11 (via upgrade notification)... OUR EXTERNAL USB CAMERA DOES NOT WORK. Can an Android expert help me? ✅ Happy to contract the right person.
Android 11 absolute Garbage. We are rolling back to 10 now. Such a mesh. You say high security but it makes my important apps unstable. "Allow over apps" permission No more allowing apps to run more then 2 popups over app, which we require the most. Resulting crash. Even though no specific button for permitting more than 2 or 3 popups run over the app simultaneously, Results - Android 11 is just a GARBAGE for me. Rolling back.
Google should just remove the Storage permission all together, so many apps still use it even though it's not needed. Apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, etc. Request Storage permission just to save their own files, while they can simply use their app storage to save their files If Android offers a way for an application to create a storage folder, and make the application only able to access this folder, that would solve the issues of applications accessing all the files on the user's device
@@sevos6359 but it is worse user experience then. It looks better when it's integrated into telegram itself. Telegram has very easy to use photo picker, you can choose multiple, edit and so on and you don't need to leave the app, so you still see the conversation going
Android permission APIs needs to be redesigned. It's too complex for simply asking for permission. Please fix the design of permission APIs
I gave up and use Dexter instead.
@@nonsudunk Nice lib.. I wonder if there is any other library that supports coroutines instead of callbacks for permission.
@@rasenshuriken6333 It's actively developed, maybe the author might do it in the future
Yes Android permission is such a mesh, resulting Android 11 = GARBAGE 🗑️

Add option for selecting which files like photos and videos can be accesed by app, look how iOS 14 did it.
Here we go again, 'Adapt', 'Migrate' or whatever.. :)
You gotta love it! ❤
Nice presentation btw. 👍
