I regularly watch your channel.
The title of this clip is misleading. Chickpeas means KABULI CHANA... Those we buy, don't sprout, hence don't grow. The ones you are using here are called, Kala Chana, or Black or BENGAL GRAM. Yes, when soaked, they germinate.

There are two traditional racipies
1) chickpea leaf chutni: fresh Chickpea leaves + 2-3 garlic cloves + 1 Green chilli + salt as per taste + 4-5 drops of mustard oil ( Grind every thing together )

Second recipe is dalsaga in which boil arhar dal with chikpea leaves, mesh with potato masher than add tadka.
