Wait buy Exil Mode? They aren't seriously released a paid 2024 multiplayer VR game and then charging again next year for this lol? Or its a free mode that is coming 2025 I have to assume unless they hate their audience and customers

Second time this game killed tabor for me , it has every feature but done better less jank and marginally better graphics. The quest system is a major improvement over tabor and the economy is actually really generous if youre smart about it. No more gear fear and ive been shit stomping max kit players like its nothing, love this game!
Contractors got to a level of polish and performance that was hard to believe. Some of the mods were truly jaw-dropping. Contractors Showdown was yet another step up. For me it killed Pop1, which is a big feat nobody achieved before. Now this thing might kill Tabor just because of the quality of the underlying engine. I love GOT but I know lots of people who can't stand the jank.
The only thing missing is being able to slap the charging handle on the mp5 like you can in tabor.
That, and a PVE mode.
@@jadrankoVRCatalans I think it says a lot about the state of VR when half baked mobile games such as these receive such critical acclaim. I wish I could enjoy it as you people do, but it just feels like shit most of the time TBH. It's not a polished game, it's just less SHIT than everything else.

This is the game that saved Quest 3 for me
I bought when they released only the battle royale thingy, it felt too arcadey and the ping difference was very bad, could never fight other people, since then I have barely ever used my Quest 3, only playing for 1 week when Tabor wipe comes around and then leaving because of the balancing problem in that game.
Now this? Oh boy...it's better than Tabor in EVERY. SINGLE. ASPECT. Because of this game I have been playing for 5 hours everyday since 2 days ago, my legs are sore from all the exercise but in those 3 days I have used my quest 3 more than I ever used it in a month or so.
Caveman Studio, kudos to you, you guys managed to make something amazing.
So true..but why don't you try playing seated on the edge of a couch for example?feels great and i am also lost for several hours a day in this game..exfil is so great

can you actually play this solo vs ai only or does it only do online?
I just recently discovered this game coming over from Tarkov after playing for several years. It is amazing. It's clearly in alpha, but nothing too gamebreaking besides dropping stuff through the floor textures, but that's pretty uncommon and usually only happens outside in the grass n stuff.
Highly recommended.
The adrenaline rush of extraction shooters in VR is next level. They crushed it with this too. My only complain is the proxy chat is a little meh. Short range and sometimes quiet. Interacting with other players is my favorite bit.
I wish they changed some of the gun sounds to be more realistic in this mode

For me it's the foot sounds. As cool as it might seem to be walking around as the Terminator with every step I take, I find it really distracting lol

Yeah. Combat waffle (ghosts of Tabor)is making silent north. So hopefully I'll sell well enough to tell caveman studios(Contractors) we want it done right.
@TrippyMonkey420 looks like garbage imo, was hyped for a dayz vr but silenth north doesn't like to be it (at least its 0 interesting to me)
I don't like the setting and especially the art style which looks like cartoon turns me completely off
@@AbenteuerSchatzsuche Agreed. If they plan to do dayz in vr it needs to have all the surivival mechanics, map size and looting. I'm just not seeing it with the footage we have from silent north so far. At the very least we need cooking food in houses that mechanic single handedly brings alot of pvp and adrenaline rush moments. Wells for drinking would be nice and maybe some bears and wolves to up the difficulty. Quite a challenge to reproduce outside of vr let alone as a vr game.
@@DrkDeath5000 were you able to find any new info about it. Because I haven't heard anything new about it for a while, so I'm hoping all that stuff will be in it. But it'll probably early access, and then take 6 months building it up to a standard we find acceptable. And then caveman studios will make it right.

It's interesting how you heal individual body parts, that something I'd expect from SP survival horror.
I think that’s correct anyway? I could be simply doing it wrong. If both legs are damaged you can inject either leg and both will heal, but it does seem the one you injected heals first.

I never played a game that made my hands shake from adrenaline after a gun fight. Literally couldn't put items in my bag right after a gun fight from all the shaking😅 its worth the learning curve bro and youll find people that dont shoot you and even trade things with you. Its sick

you dont have to go upstairs to sell stuff you can just put them in the basket close to the main terminal and go to the sell tab
you can find the best prices that way too

The fact you can pack up armors and helmets on your backpacks makes this game 10x better than tabor.. Basically, everything im getting sick of on tabor is working perfectly in the exfil zone.

I cannot stop playing this game. I loved Tabor, but definitely had a "skill issue" and would end up broke too often. Even though ExfilZone is so similar to GoT, there's something about it that resonates better with me. It's just more fun and it seems like there's a better (more forgiving) economy. If you go broke, you can do some scav runs to quickly get back up the ladder (game discs are worth over $100k! lol!). There seems to be quite a bit of QoL features in ExfilZone, even in an alpha state, and the graphics are just jaw dropping on PCVR. Thanks for the review, GT! Happy New Year!

With Exfil Zone I've got the feeling that there's not that much on the line. With Tabor however it's a whole new level of risk
Great vid GT. just a heads up you can turn prox chat off and means you can talk while raiding without enemies hearing you.
Teammates can still hear you when it’s turned off aswell so you could squad up for a video etc.
How do you calibrate the physical stock? Is it not an active option yet? I see it in the options menu, but doesn’t let me click calibrate when turning it on

Yes! :D Up to three players can squad up. Seems to be a lot of solo players in Suburbs, but I've run into teams every now and again as well. For low risk gear runs, you can solo as a Scav; it's awesome!

If your arms are too injured, do you drop what you're holding? GT dropped his gun at the end when he was critically injured.
@@tobiasmyers3505 he ran out of ammo since he missed the full auto spray out the window, you can see him raise his gun 1 handed to shoot then look down at his mags trying to find a full one to load with. I think he just forgot which hand he was holding the gun with and dropped it instead of grabbing the mag out of it. there was also a pistol on the ground so he might have been going for his pistol

Change the "auto" in match making to your closest location in the terminal screen in game before clicking on a map. It will connect faster

I just got this on Quest 3 and tried to get into a Scav run. Waited 25 min in a queue for suburbs. So I canceled and switched to dam and waited another 7 min before giving up. Am I doing something wrong? Do you have to run a raid before scav or something? It's 1245 EST, surely I'm not the only person online.
Scav runs take a little while to load because you’re coming into a game about half way, so unless you kinda get lucky, you can wait for a while. Reorganize your shelf or something while you wait 😀

Yes both Exfil and Showdown are in the same game right now. When Exfil leaves Alpha/Beta it will become its own separate release
Very addictive, far better than the battle royal mode, they must close the br to focus on exfil zone, the feelings are excellent and the health system is perfect, need just more technical improvments on quest.
I think they will just leave the BR mode to slowly rot and die and eventually add bots for those who enjoy that kind of stuff.
Exfil is definitely the more popular version.
One thing I've learned in this alpha is DO NOT PUT YOUR BAG OR GUN OR ANYTHING YOU WANT TO KEEP ON THE FLOOR! 😅😂
Ive been really enjoying it, ive played nothing but exfil for over 3 weeks now every day and i look forward to playing more...way better than tabor in my opinion...

I have heard that game lacks of people to play with so it can be very long starting a mission. Is that true or still accurate ? Based on that I bought Ghost of Tabor instead.. which is better and which has really the biggest amount of players ?
My longest wait time today was 1 minute and 8 seconds. I figured this was long because my time of playing was around 6-8am US time. The best time to play if you want busy servers is 6pm GMT onwards.

I can’t answer on popularity of either game really. Ghosts sometimes feels empty but that’s like most vr games at times.
So you definitely did yourself a disservice, so the game is contractors showdown, yes showdown is a battle Royale game with about 60 players per match with makes it sometimes long wait times unfortunately, not if you play exfilzone mode in the showdown game you're treated to this experience I've only waited 1 minute longest due to only 12 player a raid, and 9 on dam map, and 3 minute scav run time understandable since scav raids are mid raid. But this game is 100% better then tabor. Lots of players. Better, and more dense maps, lots of loot, and gear that actually has meaning, in tabor the loot is literally meaningless, unless a gpu. This game has 70% better gameplay mechanics, missions ,better bunker and is easier to look at, Ghost of tabor is a tech demo compared to exfilzone.

@@chrisforthenberry1927 definitely pvpve, but you can literally play and avoid players, I've played like 6 raids in a row purposely avoiding players, no need to engage combat if you dont want, but it will come looking for you if you're not careful. but the AI is extremely unforgiving and it's awesome.
@@chrisforthenberry1927 there's other players in raid but that's not the focus of this experience. So the answer is technically no. It's not pvp focused like contractors, or contractors showdown. This is loot, gear, and hideout upgrade, missions focused, collecting simulator.
Giving Showdown more value or is this a temporary thing?
Exfil is currently free for the Alpha and Beta and then will be a separate release

My only dislike about this game is my meds disappear into the damn void when I put it on the ground. Great game don’t get me wrong but I’m tired of dying because the last bandage that I needed in a hurry disappeared into the ground
I find this happens with everything depending on the environment. Say there’s a road the developers have put it in, but it sits above the physical world. The item should still be there though and you can grab it but using trigger+grip

Just got a Q3. Loaded QGO last night and bought Exfil Zone. Realize I need a gunstock. Just the controllers sucks.
I tried to play this but shit was just horrible. Guns stuck in the wall, trying to put a pouch on the vest ended up sending it around the room, etc. Its cool but it need some work.
@@MotherszMilk it’s alpha and oddly I didn’t experience any of that. I did experience struggling with the grab mechanism
@GAMERTAGVR i tried going to a room with more light and room but it was still just off but yeah when beta hits I'm sure it will feel better but it just feels like playing while underwater.
At this stage, this is just a flight simulator but for doing cool army shit.
Going to buy this game as a gift for a pal, but for the love of god I wish they would throw us a bone on a PSVR2 release. I really would rather buy this a fourth time on PSVR2.

@@Pabloelszpono figured that out after my first raid, I entered a building, heard footsteps in front of me, and some guy walked up behind me and shot me in the back and apologized, probably because he knew how shit the sound was and that he knew I heard him.

I really dont know. I read so many comments about this being better than tabor. Dont get me wrong, i absolutely love these guys as they made a whole new (ish) game, and it just works. My biggest problem however is the map design. It clear that they used assets why wouldnt they, from the other gamemode, but the maps look so unseasoed, and the whole game feels like they really dont know what they want from it. Thats the 3rd gamemode so far if i know that correctly, but at least they are trying, and i love that. Big cheers.
On the other hand, i tried tabor back a year ago, and i didnt really want to play as i was a noob at aiming, but now after experiences i really went ahead and gave it a chance again, and please dont hate me, i like that more in its current state. The maps are better, the overall map graphics/design is just better for me, i cant stand the aliased trees in contractors. And thats just my opinion, as a fairly new necomer to these games, as i clearly dont know the past of tabor. Contractors maps should really be smaller, and more packed with stuff. I keep getting stuck on doors that i cant open...
This game and talbor on quest just feels off literally. I put refunds for both after two hours in each game.
