You don't have to pile hate on the artist just because he's nice and people relate to him, everyone is entitled to their own opinion :)
@@christiancrews4278The statement that most Eminem fans are not fans of rap stems from an impression coming from the incomparable size of Eminems fanbase. He is one of the biggest artists of all time, so of course a large chunk of those fans are not going to be connected to the same roots as which Eminem musically emerged from. Just like Elvis’s fans didn’t understand the origins of rock n roll, or like Scorsese’s fans are not connected to the culture of American-Italians in New York and thus fans of a well-made mannicotti, or why people who enjoy IKEAS mass-produced furniture necessarily knows what Swedish culture is like. It means nothing, merely that a phenomenon has become so large that it is uprooted from its original point of emergence. Eminem has tried his very best to link his success to those very origins, by wearing clothes with the names of hiphop legends, by rambling a insane list of the very same when being introduced to the hall of fame not to mentiom countless lyrics referencing his influences. But people who really recognize what is authentic in the culture which undoubtedly emerged in a lineage of african diaspora in America, they also recognize that Eminem does this very, very well and deserves recognition for his lifelong dedication to the craft and culture, regardless of the size and sphere of his influence.
Bad example. You don’t watch or pay attention to golf much I think. Nobody said that about Tiger. There was once a major where only 1 person finished under par. Tiger at 12 under. He beat the entire field by 15 strokes. Saying he’s a nice golfer for a black guy doesn’t really work here when it was plain and simple how good he was because of all the tournaments he won. He did get some racist jabs like jokingly being asked if he was gonna serve fried chicken after he won the masters.
Eminem said it best on Role Models “some people only see that I'm white, ignorin' skill 'Cause I stand out like a green hat with a orange bill But I don't get pissed, y'all don't even see through the mist How the fuck can I be white? I don't even exist.” 💯
He also said “if I was black, I would’ve sold half” in White America. A lot of Em’s fans just love him because he’s a good white rapper, they don’t even like hip-hop and Em knows that. That’s why he doesn’t boast about his sales and whatnot because he knows America’s implicit racism helped him earn that and he actually has integrity and is ashamed of that!
@@new_to_planet4424 Naw man, respectfully, stop with that "implicit racism" sh.t; it wasn't "racism" that got him sales. The fact that he was a white artist - that was nice - exposed large populations of the public who previously had not heard rap or hip hop, to it. I don't dispute the fact that there are Em fans that don't necessarily know/like/listen to the genre as much as others, but a lot of them do - *because* Em introduced them to it. I was listening to rap (before it was even called hip hop) long before Eminem came into the game. But if you're going to try and say his sales were poppin' because he was white, then why didn't Vanilla Ice have that kind of success? 3rd Base? Even the Beastie Boys, who were arguably the biggest white rap group of their time STILL didn't have the sales or clout that Em did. He (Em) was just better than all of them. He elevated all of hip hop because he expanded the base of who was listening. He's not wrong in saying his sales may have well been different if he was black, but you know what else would be different? People wouldn't be saying "he's nice ... for a white guy", they'd be saying he was their #1, or at the very least in their top 3 or 5 rap artists if they truly love the genre.

Accepting each other comes first. We’re stronger together, than we are divided. Small thing I learned in Naruto is that: We really do have to speak to other people every day. If we don’t, our hearts grow cold. It is our bonds of friendship and camaraderie where we find the most peace. So please you really should speak to people everyday, even if it’s small talk. ❤💪
As a white person from rural South…I agree. BUT 2 wrongs don’t make a right. I was raised to not see skin color, culture or religion…just how the person treated me & others around me. But I had black people…kids thru adults…instantly treat me negatively bc I’m white. I *do get* that they may have been used to receiving racism from most white people but alienating every white person the second they speak to you wont change things for the better. I have several black, Hispanic & friends of other races who gave me the chance to show them who I am…beyond just the color of my skin. But if other races spew hatred towards *everyone* with pale skin…it ends up convincing many that the white racists have a point or are 100% correct. So rather than an ally in deconstructing racism…it just breeds more racists. And there are already FAR TOO MANY white people who are racist from the start! Typically due to much of their families being racist. 😕🤷🏻♀️

@lethamash7784 name me one ethnic group that don't gatekeep? Show me where white people didnt gatekeep. Show me where puerto ricans aint gatekeeping. Come on man.
@@christiancrews4278 don't get me wrong, whites have been ripping off of black culture just to turn it into diluted trash but let's not act like black people don't gatekeep because they do and I don't blame them. Just don't lie that you don't gatekeeping
@@christiancrews4278 He may not be THE GOAT but he's definitely ONE OF THE GOATs.
Music is subjective and Hip Hop is still young.
There will be many lists from many different people with their own GOAT.
Em happens to be the one for many people around the world, and that's okay.

Tiger Woods is a nice golfer for a black guy. Does this sound familiar?
Exactly!!
"Nah, he's trash and he is running white culture"
Yes 100%
And which white guy do you see defend him 😂
Bad example.
Eminem said it best on Role Models “some people only see that I'm white, ignorin' skill
'Cause I stand out like a green hat with a orange bill
But I don't get pissed, y'all don't even see through the mist
How the fuck can I be white? I don't even exist.” 💯
He also said “if I was black, I would’ve sold half” in White America. A lot of Em’s fans just love him because he’s a good white rapper, they don’t even like hip-hop and Em knows that. That’s why he doesn’t boast about his sales and whatnot because he knows America’s implicit racism helped him earn that and he actually has integrity and is ashamed of that!
i get clean shave bath got to a rave . die from an overdose and dig myself out my grave

We only relate to someone else's pain or struggle when it happenes to us .. we gotta stop that shyt and be more conscious 💯
Accepting each other comes first. We’re stronger together, than we are divided.
Small thing I learned in Naruto is that:
We really do have to speak to other people every day. If we don’t, our hearts grow cold. It is our bonds of friendship and camaraderie where we find the most peace. So please you really should speak to people everyday, even if it’s small talk.

I don’t know what I expected but this shits fire drop the album man!!!
Using ill to explain nice really cleared it up for the young thunder cats! 😂😂😂
NORE said white people have been going through this for years, but it’s nothing compared to what blacks have experienced.
