There are better modern composers than Einaudi. Try Philip Glass (his Metamorphosis suite for piano is a good start), Yann Tiersen (e.g. the Amélie Poulain album), Wim Mertens (his greatest hits only).

Let me tell you a short story on how i found ludovico. I was young,back then no iphone, mp3 players were just starting to enter the market that was based on walkmans, every night we would put BBC world radio on and sleep listening, and the late show had ludovico on, and i was half asleep and half awake and i could here these compositions, my brain was enjoying the sweetness of sleep and the feeling of drowsiness coupled with ludovico pieces, and i woke up the next morning trying to figure out who it was. I am not familiar with italian names so what i heard and what i was typing was completely different. For FOUR years i searched for him, couldn’t find him or that BBC episode. Then one day, from no where on youtube, i heard una mattina and i found his name. There may be many better composers, but its the way i found ludovico that makes him, to this day, my favorite! GRAZIE signore Ludovico … GRAZIE
