This is without question the greatest 66 kilogram battle of all time; Pana's emotional loss against Jonathan; Kyota's emotional loss for the gold (for some reason not shown in this video); and the dark horse Kasemsand Senumong who never hit the podium before taking the gold. The top 3 totaled 707.5 kilograms, which I don't recall happening before in any type of IPF competition. This is without a doubt the greatest battle we've had in this class and it'll probably take decades until it gets topped. I predict that every other class soon competing will not top the 66 kg battle for this years championships. Superb effort by all of the athletes here today!
Been waiting for this! Could be a full 90minute movie! Sad for Pana but Kasemsand is sooo nice, he fully deserved it! Amazing work you guys! No other channel does it like you!
Jesus another one. You guys are getting them out so fast. Gonna grab dinner and enjoy this. Sad for Pana, but Kasemsand seems so nice, especially from the podcast you guys dropped with KOTL. Keep it up!!!
In my opinion the best session of worlds. Russ being dethroned got a lot of attention but this battle was the greatest, me and my wife were really rooting for Jonathan!
We wanted to include him but given time constraints and these three on the podium all totalling the same, didnt on this occasion. Huge respect to our Japanese friend though! Couldn't meet a nicer person and a stronger dude - one of these days he'll be atop the podium!
These 66kg tiny little men are benching 10kg more than 140kg women powerlifters that competes in the 84kg+. Why are the events called 84kg+ whilst it most appropriately supposed to be called 120kg+. 120kg is closer to 140kg compared to 84kg. Such a lame event😑
Absolutely fantastic work guys. Felt like I was watching a movie. Thank you for what you guys do for the sport of powerlifting.
Thank you Jonathan! Pleasure to have you as part of the story and to have you on the podcast! Catch you soon 😄
The most insane fight in IPF 66kg history

All three of them fought for that (even the japanese 66kg) but Kasemsund really was the dark horse of the day. Glad for him.
I feel sad for pana 😅
I felt it too, even the coach let him have his time

Yeah was absolutely amazing
Russ wax robbed in the 3rd squats just like Atwood did 😂 judges must hate the USA
Dont forget Kyota Ushiyama! He as well pulled for gold. If he had gotten his last pull, he would total 710

With Opor becoming world champion, I can finally say my federation president is stronger than your federation president 😅
Unpopular opinion: Pana should put some mass and go to 73kgs class
He could definitely fill it out
Fr tho . Pana would suit to the 73 kg ish type of frame
Wait I thought the next weight class would be 74kg w/ the likes of Perk and Atwood?
@@MannymakThat's probably what he meant, there is no 73 kg class
Awesome fight!
I don't even like powerlifting, but I greatly respect the athletes
They all work so so hard

Don’t have the name handy but it was from Artlist.io ! 😄
If interested, it is a loop of "hitting apex - Aiyo"
This was a sick ending
I couldn’t believe my eyes that Pana lost but you can’t lie I felt hyped after Kasemsand lifted his fist up

I’m always amazed at how bad Pana’s form is. How is he even up there with that form?
