Jennifer, I'm glad that you're not inhibited to be child-like and that you enjoy playing with dolls and bears. I love paper dolls and sticker books. It's nice to keep a little childhood in our hearts, isn't it? :)

This video gave me all the Christmas “feels”. Thanks for sharing and reminding us all to enjoy a life well lived. Wrapping on Christmas Eve reminded me of Christmas 2000 when I was pregnant with my 3rd, entrenched in extreme morning (aka all day) sickness and sitting in the floor watching my husband wrap every gift while I instructed which was for whom. Oh, the memories! Merry Christmas! ❤️🎄

Agatha Christie is my go to comfort in Autumn and Winter, especially Poirot, both the books and TV adaptations. In the Spring and Summer I find myself gravitating towards Jane Austen - I don't know why. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas Jennifer.

Greetings from Japan! Thank you for letting me know the tradition of wrapping comes from Japan. I myself didn't know about that! How amazing! I'm a great fan of your books and videos. Although we don't have such custom of preparing for Christmas, I personally enjoy watching your Christmas videos so much.

Your holiday videos are all lovely. Thank you for sharing the joy. And congratulations on your being one of Victoria’s writers-in-residence for next year! I can imagine what a thrill that must be for you. Jennifer, have you read “Giovanni’s Light” by Phyllis Theroux? It is a delightful little Christmas-themed novel published in 2002. I picked it up secondhand a few years ago and read it every December. I believe Ms. Theroux was a writer-in-residence for Victoria Magazine some years ago. I think you would enjoy the book. Merry Christmas, and many blessings also to everyone reading this!

Dear Jennifer, reading tip: Silent Night by Sophie Hannah. Its a new Hercule Poirot. I was first apprehensive with a new author taking on my beloved Belgium detective, but I think Sophie Hannah did an excellent job. Love to hear your opinion as well.

I also enjoy reading cozy mysteries during the Christmas season.
A Christmas Party by Georgette Heyer is a favorite of mine. Have you read Christmas at Thomson Hall by Anthony Trollope? This collection of stories depicts the gentry of Victorian England. Last night I read an old favorite again. It’s A Child’s Christmas in Wales by Dylan Thomas. This book is beautifully illustrated and makes delightful bedtime reading. Happy reading and Happy Christmas!! 🎄

The fudge recipe you included looks delightfully easy so I think I'll try it over thr holidays. This year, our church is performing the cantata "The Richest Family in Town" by the Garlocks and the Hamiltons. And one of the major players in it is Grandma's Famous Fudge. 🥰
As I watched your videos this morning, I have my orange slices baking in the oven ready to be turned into christmas ornaments! My husband is enjoying the citrusy scents coming from the kitchen. How long should I let them set to dry when they're done in the oven?
    Thanks so much, Jennifer!
PS. My KitchenAid finally came this week, and I'm looking forward to watching your past christmas videos while I get some baking done later today. 🥰
