Well anything that tastes like peanut butter and jam and isn’t peanut butter and jam is flavourings… alright if you just want to try 1 but surely there’s no bods drinking 4/6/8 of these.
Yes its sweet, how could it not be given the contents, sadly NM have gone too far down the novelty path with their beers the Zombie Death strawberry ice cream stout is another example and that's terrible. Remember the Northern Star impys they did a few years ago they where excellent, they need a complete reboot before they go down completely down the crapper.
Dark brown, foam disappears quickly. Artificial strawberry-raspberry aroma stings the eyes, under it coffee and chocolate, full body, low carbonation. The first impression is pleasant, dark roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, fruitiness reminiscent of raspberry jam, nuts. The finish is a disgusting chemical bitter raspberry, as if you were drinking shampoo. It is hard to drink this beer to the end.
This beer is really nice
Just had one of these and really enjoyed it, I felt there was a hint of rum lurking in the background but I'm no aficionado 😳
£4.25 for a 8.4% beer….says it all really, not surprised by this review at all. Keep up the good work Paul 🍻

Can't agree with you on this one. Drinking one right now, actually really like the bitterness on the finish, without it this would be too sweet.

Another 8.4 Northern Monk Stout in Morrisons , dont waste your money on that either, insipid stuff
Not really a fan of anything from Northern Monk. On the back of this review, I will go nowhere near this beer.

It's just an artificial syrup. It's not beer
