@@GaryFerraro Do you dry with compressed air? When it comes time i go to buy a new valvebody for my 6L90 automatic transmission that equips my 2011 Cadillac CT5 with 6.2l V8 engine.
Once again you are the man Gary, that just doesn't look fun to work on. I don't see a lot of videos on RWD Aisin 7/8 speeds in the shop, it seems they are pretty reliable and sturdy. Zfs seem to be same way unless they rarely get driven and the seals dry up etc.
Hello sir, thank you for the video. It may come in handy! I am hoping for some advice. My girlfriends 2004 X3 will do a sort of flair when it shifts from 1-2 and 2-3. At about 50-100% throttle. Nornal driving it's mostly fine. By flair I mean it will start to shift, the rpms slowly drop a bit, then it kind of slams into the next gear. The shift time my be 2-3 seconds. No codes, I have changed the filter and refilled, it does not slip at all. I have reset adaptations and no difference. Would rebuilding the valve body correct this issue do you think? What do you think of the $200 reman valve bodies you can find on ebay and Amazon? I have a hard time trusting those and might just try to rebuild it myself... Thank you in advance.
What a great, informative video. I have an issue (same gearbox) that only affects 5th. Do you think this is something that can be resolved without gearbox removal. Fault code is PO735. Its a low mileage box, changes well except in top
