We've all been there and come unstuck on wet red clay. Great video of some familiar tracks, thanks.

Brilliant stuff, after returning to motorcycling in 2018 after a 22 year break, I'm now planning to add a dirt bike to the stable in the next 6 to 12 months. The Rideadv weekend looks like a must do.

Awesome!! I would highly recommend it, even for people with riding experiance because it's great practice, and a lot of fun as well.

It was probably the central coast mountain bike club.
Great 2 part videos. I live near there, do heaps of 4wding and camping at the watagan state forest and work at Ourimbah, would love to do that. Must book myself in.
You looked like you loved it. 😁
    well done you did well.

Murrays Run Rd, back in the 70s there was a dirt bike facility there called Hungry Creek. MX, Enduro, Flat track etc. Great times were had there. A few clips on YT

That green mud is the worst for breaking out the back. I remember when I was farming and taking wagon loads out of the field. You'd always keep an eye out for the green mud. Wipeouts are all part of the experience I guess, lol. You did amazing wrangling that heavy machine through all those runs. Well done brother.

Thanks mate. The tighter stuff certainly makes it interesting for the big Tenere but I love it.

Thanks, mate, it certainly was exactly that, an adventure. I can't wait to get out again.

Great videos, Vern. Really captures the apprehension I see with riders new to dirt riding. No matter what I say, everyone is worried about "keeping up with the group" or "not holding up the riders behind". It is not a race and is all about enjoyment, just ride at your own pace and enjoy the ride.

And it's a testimony to RideADV how you come out the other end of the weekend feeling a lot more confident and enough basic skills to feel much more comfortable on the bike.

@@MotoRidesAustralia Thanks, mate. That is our aim. I could actually SEE the improvement of the riders on the "mud section" near Cessnock on their way back, compared to the way out.

I thought you'd know about that event, not surprised you recognised people. So many people there.

That’s a mountain bike trail system that you rode past.

Great to see the confidence you have picked up watching that screen angling way more than the first day.
Greg would normally ride three there at 3 times I am sure.
Great to see Greg & the Boys bring so much enjoyment to new adventures.
Thanks very much for sharing your time. Cheers

What a top ride and good intro to the sport. Regarding the bars, just buy new stuff. Bending light weight alloys back is not really wise as the metal is brittle the more it bends. But as the leader said at the beginning of part 1, it’s better to have soft steel and alloy bend rather than the high tensile stuff snap and leave you stranded.

What a solid effort Vern!! Looks like an amazing weekend of learning and new experiences! They look like some stunning tracks that I'll have to go and check out. I think I need a weekend like that on the Twin! Looking forward to a catch up at some stage, I'm still so green at the off-road thing, can't wait to get back out there!

Cool to learn with the right people. If I were into adventure riding, I’d do it too. I have no chance unless I get a divorce.

Sometimes when you come across tricky terrain, your bike encourages you to get down and take a real close look at it. Would be nice if it gave you a bit more notice though.
