Damn! I didn't expect to find such a nugget! Thank you. I left a W2 job about 7 years ago that I spent my whole life cultivating. I was at the top if my game and left to become self employed in sales. I struggled for months with a difficult identity. After a few years if this I created an additonal business that unintentionally paired like pizza and beer! New identity found! Today, im closing both those businesses to "pivot" (loved it!) into something else. Im the only one who works for my family, so this struggle to support compounds the anxiety. I've spent the last 6 months preparing for the transition, now pivot, that it dredged up similar feelings of leaving my W2 job. I didn't process how much identity had to deal with things until these recent 6 months. Your interviews were gems! Brought quiet tears to my eyes as I felt what others have felt. Many care about the pro athletes, not many care for the business person, or just individual. The athletes are put on a bigger stage, so their perspective is profound. Makes the common person feel less lonely. Thank you for that. Its what I needed! And it was important I shared my story. My best!
