Colin Cowherd Look, totally not a LeBron hater. The dude is absolutely amazing!! But Colin, bro, ya gotta pump your brakes man. You're starting to sound like a stalker. It's like listening to broadcaster who's finally gone "Madden - Favre" swinging on the nuts of an athlete. It's not that I'm LeBron fatigued, I'm actually creeped out by how many heart shaped bubbles are floating above your head when you talk about him for 2.5 hours every day. Get yourself a fidget spinner or something, ya gotta be more interesting and less nauseating when it comes to LeBron.
He was a big part of the streetball/hip hop element in basketball in the late 90's/early 2000's as well. Those days were an absolute blast, AI was definitely at the forefront.
Look at this guys stats and look who he played with he's one of the only stars in history to not play with another star and still win a ton of games he's very underrated.
Jordan Iverson is overrated, shooting 40% from the field every season??? What a joke. Even Westbrook has a better fg% and also rebounds and assists better.
@Shannon Newcomb I love AI but like most of us, he ain't the same person then he is now. He had a rough, passed around upbringing but he's a world class warrior & I believe at his core he's always been good peeps. We've watched him grow up. Arguably best ever lb for lb.
Vbajor10 I can remember in one interview about couple years ago where Colin actually called Iverson an underrated defender, and praised his length for his size and how good he played passing lanes.
DJBVA08 had a bunch of classic players. The generation i grew up with. AI kobe Tmac Pierce Jason Richardson Vince Carter dirk KG Arenas duncan i can go on and on
'I consider myself a 24/7 dad' so much respect to where AI is in life now, inspiration to many in a non-basketball way even. Had some bumps along the road financially but this is what turning things around looks like #iverson
Hahaha Allen correcting Colin, man I love him. "You were a tremendous defensive player".. "Defensive?.... I was good in the passing lane haha" LOL love it.
Evenson Victor don't matter what u say this dude a legend. changed the game at one point and had everybody want to be like him , we was trying to break everybody ankles when I was growing up
Terrance Deramus Gotcha, respect that. For me 6 for 6 is pretty impressive, MVP for each one and hit the game winner on the last. Plus i break it down to who had the better game overall. Got mad love for Lebron too, reminds me so much of Magic& dominque.
Colin: How did he touch your heart Iverson: He grabbed me and slammed on a car windshield and asked if I wanted to die and I knew then he cared about me... #TwoAmericas
What are you smoking? Jordan is the best player to ever have played.. there's no comparing the 2... noone except you think that-- everyone else understands AI was a great player but nothing like MJ.
4PM sure Jordan is the best to ever play. AI arguably changed the culture as much as Jordon. And many people looked at AI as the most exiting player (possibly of all time) all while being sort of a role model mostly from where he came from. Jordon may have been the best but I would say AI was favorite.
Allen Iverson you are amazing bro you were unstoppable. U have respect for the game. Respect for the other players you played against. And your humble. I always loved you man and the way you play. U r a Class Act Allen. Respect... you have mine.
Colin is so fake. Normally calls Iverson a ballhog now calls him a good defender and could do it all. I love AI but even he was shocked when Colin said he was a great defender
The realest to ever do it. Period. I'm a Warriors/Klay fanatic these days but as far as childhood idols go Penny and The Answer were the epitome for me, both came from nothing and both were unstoppable in their playing primes but I always have the utmost respect for AI and what he bought to the game, the majority of his stats alone and the ability to stay 1st in the majority of those categories for so long, ie. PPG was just unbelievable given the level of competition that he was faced with back then. A True OG.
So fake.. he just told AI he played defense, but when he talks about Iverson he usually says he's a ball dominant guard that doesn't play Andy defense smh
I mean all you had to do was see his interview last week with Lavar to see he's phony. He was all laughin and buddy buddy while he was there, but later on speak for yourself and the next day. He was talking about how uncomfortable it was, and he should have kicked him off the show.
A.I. had more guts & grit than any other player that ever played the game! One of the best two way players ever! He may only be 6ft but he played like a GIANT! RESPECT 1,000
I believe Jordan is the best ever, but Iverson is my favorite ever. Biggest heart basketball has ever seen and that heart goes well beyond his play on the court.
AI didn't need championships for me to consider him the best. This guy was a killer on the court and he never had the help that many of the "greats" had throughout their time. Allen Iverson did a lot for basketball, and a lot of what he accomplished was because of him. I really can't find a lot of bad things to say about him. Amazing player and an even better person.
DaBaYzFyNesT lmao. It's the hat. Once u see his eyes youlll know he's older but he don't look his age at all. He could pass for a dude in his early 30s.
AI was so good, it's stunning how he doesnt get the respect he deserves. I lived in Philly during his run and he literally had nothing to work with. A true one man team and he still took them to the finals. One of the greatest ever imo.
The Answer! Definitely on the NBAs all-time warrior team. Never seen anyone faster with the ball end to end, & gave birth to the attacking guard that is thriving today on all levels of ball. He impacted the game in so many ways from fashion to in game rules.
Iverson is the man, it was a honor to be able to be equipment manager for the sixers threw 2001-2006, I got to actually play ball with him everyday I got all his different game worn sneakers still too
Allen Iverson comes to the show when Kristine is not there. Something tells me that alot of the players dont like her, they're worried she'll bring up their past if they visited the herd with her there. Like Domestic abuse, violence against women, etc etc. Face it Colin, you'll have a lot more players visiting your show, Hof legends and current superstars if Kristine is not there. The players respect you, but dislike her.
Donnie88 you're stretching. I get it, you don't like Kristine after that Lavar thing, but i think it's a bit absurd to say AI came on the show because he knew she wasn't going to be there or say for sure that he dislikes her. Aside from getting into an argument with a person she sorta beefed with, what other examples are there of her making guests feel uncomfortable or asking tough questions?
Hearing his story about his mentor slamming him on the car, gave me chills dog. Every ones a star but not everyone has the backbone and support of others to make you see what they see, glad AI took heed, and changed up.
Example of bandwagon fans. Born around mj retired lol say mj the best but off of highlights and following Instagram post n ppl.. guess who got on the shoes n only mj shoes in the mall means he the best
Loved watching this guy play when I was growing up. I have fond memories wearing both The Question and The Answer I kicks in middle school through high school.
I went to Saint Joe's from 97-01 ... Lived in Lincoln Green on City Ave with AI (behind the Fridays) and they practiced and played pickup games at SJU. Would sit on the court while they played, then I'd see him in his maroon Bentley drive home, and they'd be at that Fridays til 2am. One day I saw him in the morning heading out, at SJU, then they came to Dave & Buster's to shoot pool where I worked. The next day I saw him in the gym, and it was the only time I ever went up to him, and I just wanted to show him some love. I remember saying "hey Allen" and he turned around, then completely ignored me and kept walking. Aaron McKie looked at me and patted me on the back, but I felt embarrassed and was disappointed. On the way out of the gym, after I worked out, they were all in hallway, and I had my headphones on. It was on mute but I pretended to sing biggie, looked AI dead in the eye and sang "They heard about the pounds they got down in Georgetown, and they heard you got half of Virginia locked down" ... Allen had an ear to ear smile and they all went nuts, hearing a little white boy rapping, and you know that's good favorite line ever ... That day forward, we weren't friends, but every time he saw me he'd call me smalls ... Never once asked for an autograph or a picture cause I knew back then he just wanted to be a normal person, but that was really something I'll always remember obviously, and I'll always be a fan of his.
I always respected Alan's effort and honesty. It's pretty much the two most important qualities I look for in a professional athlete. I become a fan, no matter what other issues come about during their careers.
Man I love this show. Colin you are really on it and it comes thru in your interviews. High caliber content, from guests not necessarily known to "open up". No BS. Just loads of knowledge dropped on the regular. Keep it coming!
one of the best interviews ive seen great questions and AI is always insightful and interesting to listen to such a real person is refreshing to hear from.
Iverson is from the hood. And he even got the look. But he is a lot smarter than people think. His answers and his oponions always make a lot of sense.
Can’t dispute AI had great game; with this interview, and his genuine and sincere answers, he’s showing he’s an even better man and, most importantly, a loving father. Props, man.
A classic by Allen, "I suppose to be the franchise player and we in here talking about practice"!......."We talking about practice...not a game, not a game, not a game, .....we talking about practice"!
You know that was in reference to a close friend that had just passed away. It had nothing to do with practice. Media put a slant on that and people continue to believe it
Bubba Chuck: an icon of the game. One of my favorite players of all time, They'll never be another A.I. in the NBA. He was a once in a generation star!
No disrespect to Kristine, but this is a clear example of the type of parental love that is common in the black community. It's not fear, but a certain respect and tough love that's different from what the typical white family experiences. Life can roll some of these kids if they don't have these type of parental figures in their lives...
What's her purpose anyway ? She sits behind the guest. She says nothing worthwhile. She has an annoying high pitched voice. What producer said this is what is necessary?
Here comes the Elohim of the game... mighty baller of all times, not one ever had that kind of touch, dribble and mindfulness for the game. Keep you in my spirit everyday El Iver!
" THE ANSWER " I LOVE YOU ❤️ A.I. You represented hip - hop , the people on and off the court all I have to say is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE ! RESPECT MY BROTHER 💯 !
Allen Iverson joins Colin Cowherd in studio. Topics: Michael Jordan (2:29), LeBron James (4:09), life after the NBA (5:43).

Colin Cowherd Look, totally not a LeBron hater. The dude is absolutely amazing!! But Colin, bro, ya gotta pump your brakes man. You're starting to sound like a stalker. Colin Cowherd I love your show but the LeBron biases has to stop this the same man who avg 17 ppg two finals and you ignore it

He was a big part of the streetball/hip hop element in basketball in the late 90's/early 2000's as well. Those days were an absolute blast, AI was definitely at the forefront.
Herky J I wanted to be like Mike when I was a lil kid but when I got round 13 I was about that AI life. Wanted the cornrows and learned the crossover.
Look at this guys stats and look who he played with he's one of the only stars in history to not play with another star and still win a ton of games he's very underrated.
In my opinion he's a top 20 player in nba history

Even Iverson was surprised with that 'Defense' comment.

Vbajor10 I can remember in one interview about couple years ago where Colin actually called Iverson an underrated defender, and praised his length for his size and how good he played passing lanes.

Me and A.I are not related but every time someone praises AI, I fell good about it.
People forget that Lebron said he looked up to Iverson.
Andrew Lee A lot of the new school didn't watch MJ play but watched A.I more. Heavy influence on the new school ballers
Terrance Deramus Gotcha, respect that. For me 6 for 6 is pretty impressive, MVP for each one and hit the game winner on the last. Plus i break it down to who had the better game overall. Got mad love for Lebron too, reminds me so much of Magic& dominque.

Allen is doin great post nba. Spending time with his kids is priceless and not spending time clubbing and whatnot. He's a role model.
Colin clearly did not do his homework on Iverson and was wrong a couple of times
