    I mean, sure, he might have been frustrated creatively in AEW... but his whole persona in AEW was a WWE-taylored guy. He made himself the all-American white meat babyface which didn't work in a space that is rooted in the indie wrestling scene (which is why they booed him for not eventually turning heel as he had in the indies). But people like Vince salivate over that type of persona, and I think that was Cody's intention, to carve his own path in the indies and eventually come back to WWE, from "undesirable to undeniable"... and he did, and his all-American persona is exactly what WWE needed because they haven't had that in a while.

It's a big business & big business is very cutthroat, manipulative & deceiving. Other things to think about are that both AEW & Cody still follow one another on IG & Cody is still featured in the AEW featured in the AEW fight forever video game. If there are hard feelings towards TK & Cody, then why would they still follow one another on social media & why is Cody still in the video game? All part of the plan: Cody goes to WWE for a while to be a mole for AEW, AEW tanks for 2 - 3 years & recruits talent away from WWE & get all their secrets to take back with him to AEW. She also received heavily criticism from fans. Last time, the fans booed the hell out of her when she announced her pregnancy, and also when Dan Lambert cut a promo on her, embarrassing her as well. I'm guessing TK chose not to renew Brandi's contract, which caused Cody not to renew his AEW contract. We all know TK doesn't like confrontation. He just let your contract expired without offering a renewal. Cody probably had a problem with it. Cody could win at some point and I think he should but it take time with it. For example, Cody wins the Rumble, beats Reigns for the titles at Mania, does it for his dad and the next night you pull a Dusty finish, null and void the switch and get the title on Reigns. That way you could REALLY get the fans behind Cody while making Reigns an even bigger heel than he already is. Then when the switch finally does happen, it means that much more.

    • @Tumorcoach

      No because it minimizes the actual match he won. Dusty finish would be awful. Wouldn’t mean more just be the pop one time at mania

    • @Nothereman9999
      @Nothereman9999 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tumorcoach I disagree. Overall, I think the one thing all fans miss is the fact Cody isn't well known to the current WWE audience. Your average fan doesn't watch AEW or New Japan, they just watch WWE. Cody was there 2 months before he got hurt, he's gonna need more time and more reason to get fans behind them than he already has. That's just a simple fact that fans need to understand. Cody isn't ready to be the #1 guy just because fans want him to be and to be ready for that spot you actually need time to build your character, something Cody hasn't had yet.
      Say what you want but a Dusty finish would give your casual fan a reason to care, it would give Cody extra time to build his character with those casual fans and it would make fans hate Roman even more. If Cody just wins at Mania that's great but his title reign will be lackluster and it won't last long. Truth is, I don't care what hardcore fans want because you'll watch any old shit that gets fed to you. That's how it is and that's why you really shouldn't listen to hardcore fans, they're fickle and they aren't as smart as they think they are.

    • @Tumorcoach
      @Tumorcoach ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Nothereman9999 the casual fan doesn’t even now what a dusty finish is so no it wouldn’t your just wasting a wrestlemania moment. Your idea sayin got get people to care is not true at all. Also he’s one of the top merchandise sellers in the company. Cody can handle being a number one guy he’s presentable, well spoken and reliable. He has the crowd on his side. Dusty finish would just be a stupid concept. Especially since Roman probably won’t be around that often after mania

    • @Nothereman9999
      @Nothereman9999 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tumorcoach they don't have to know what a Dusty finish is, they just have to know Cody got screwed out of the title. This ain't about knowing insider terms, it's giving your average fan a reason to care about Cody. It doesn't have to be a Dusty finish but if he just goes out there and beats Reigns at Mania then I guarantee that title reign will fall flatter than Shayna Bayzler's chest.
      In fact, we've seen WWE run this very storyline, doing it for family, coming back after a big injury and it NEVER works. I'm just saying, if it wasn't enough for HHH and Cena then it won't be enough for Cody either. You need to give Cody time after injury to re-establish himself with the crowd and if every big star ever needed that (and they did) then so will Cody.

    I truly believe that Cody Rhodes wasn't done wrestling full-time. In AEW as Executive Vice President his hands were tied to being an executive Vice President. He'll be back in AEW. Both him and Brandi. I honestly didn't know that Cody said that he wants to retire by age 40 up until you mentioned it and my theory about Cody going back to WWE is only him going undercover/get insider information on how they're currently running things there. His contract with WWE expires in 2025 right? The year he turns 40? My theory is both him and Brandi will go back to AEW around that time and work full time as executives and steal all the insider information during his 2nd stint with WWE. Cody seems like the type to hold grudges and I have a feeling that this is his way to get back at WWE for doing both him and his family wrong all those years. Call me a crazy, conspiracy theorist, but if that's the case, why do both Cody and AEW still follow each other on IG and why is he still in the AEW Fight forever video game?

    Cody barring himself for winning the AEW world title was the dumbest thing he could have done. I understand the idea that you don't want the fans to think that you're putting the title on yourself because you have an ego or whatever, but in hindsight, it hasn't hurt Kenny and the Bucks. All he had to do was challenge for the title, but not book himself to win it, if it meant that much to him. Completely writing himself out of the picture made him directionless.
    If he was frustrated with creative, he created that problem. And it would be extremely easy to get out of if he was willing to turn heel, cuz he could just say that he's the boss, he makes the rules, and then rip up the contract so he can now challenge for the title. Cody was "controlling his narrative" for lack of a better term, and his narrative fucking sucked. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      @@sheriffdraws8789 He didn't need it? So you're telling me that Cody had a good run after blocking himself from the world title picture? I definitely loved the Factory stuff. Top quality television. 😂
      Even if he didn't "need" it, it absolutely would have helped. Like I said, he never had to win it, but at least being in the picture would have helped.
      And say he did turn heel, it wouldn't have even needed to be long. He could have had like a 3 month heel run, where he's desperate to win the world championship. He finally wins it, but is soon dissatisfied with it because he doesn't feel like he's earned it. He didn't win it the way he would have wanted. So he then relinquishes the title, and sets up a tournament to crown a new champion, which he competes in. He makes it to the finals, but ultimately loses to whoever, like CM Punk or some shit.
      He could have done so much but his narrative is bad. I think Cody should be the guy to take the Universal championship from Roman (because I think Owens should win the world title at the Rumble in a Last Man Standing. Long story.), So I'm not like a Cody hater or anything. I just think he had zero foresight in AEW and booked himself into oblivion.
      And if you're here watching wrestling interviews, you're a mark too. 😛

    Cody ( & Brandi) will be back in AEW. I have a very strong feeling it'll happened and his 2nd stint in WWE is on a short term basis and very similar to William Regal's AEW stint. What I mean by that is Cody is probably there to see how they currently do things and recruit people from there to bring with him when he eventually goes back to AEW. I mean AEW and Cody still follow each other on IG and Cody is still in the AEW Fight Forever video game. Also, why would he go back to a company that has treated both him and his family like crap all those years and he immediately goes back to them within a snap of a finger? Both TK and Cody are very smart people and I don't buy these reports of friction between the both of them one bit. This is just an inside/undercover job to get insider information from WWE and make AEW & ROH the best pro wrestling promotions in the world IMO. Even if it means AEW tanks for 2 - 3 years until Cody's WWE contract expires. TK is filthy, stanking rich so he can make up for the losses and he's an owner of 2 sports franchises so he know the deal.
