You have to put the outfit on without anyone seeing you do so. Even friendlies. It will let you know if you did and what you are disguised as. You can take patches on and off. I believe your patch needs to match the armor. You can't put the ecologist patch on loner armor and be seen as ecologist. The armor almost always comes with the patch. This patch is in addition to the one you often loot off their corpse. I'm not sure about bought armor. A few factors go into disguise. Wear the faction armor with the faction patch. Repair the armor to max is best. Don't sprint or have your gun out/pointed at people. Don't get super close to other stalkers and don't stay near them for too long. The suspicion meter at the bottom will show up as green equal signs. You can see real time as it changes when you do things. Bandit is definitely a tough faction until you can out gear most stalkers. The upside is the bandit and mercs have easy quests to kill most faction npcs. The patch lottery is very good in merc base. I would either use the mission companions or rank up a bit to recruit randoms near your rank. Use them as loot mules and classic bandit tactic of outnumbering already weak opponents. They will use the weapon with the highest base price in their inventory. They don't swap armor. I don't think they can use ammo or nades. Bonus is their guns don't jam regardless of condition. You can give them poor condition high dmg snipers/shotguns with no ammo and they will use it like normal. I don't know if the barrel condition affects their damage like the player. Just remember to take your loot back if you put it on quest companions and turn in the quest.
You dont need to use a vice to change weapon parts, they are there for outfit part changes/upgrades. They're also useful for crafting but in the end, the basic, advanced and expert tools serve as their own crafting stations.
I find it very interesting the small differences between Gamma and EFP. I appreciate the ability to kill an enemy and see a mostly put together gun as opposed to GAMMA. I'm at the point where I want to play both at once but I can't because of the installation complications haha.
Also in the last episode I did mention that your companions are free pack mules any item you have you can just put them with your companions and make sure to take the items back before you turn in the job to your quest giver! And you could have used your companions longer completing all missions you could before turning the mission that make you lose them just a recommendation it will make your bandit life more survivable.
Kowtow: cow + tau (if you know the 40K faction - otherwise "tow" is like the start of towel) is on your knees with your head down begging / pleading - in this case it's basically calling someone weak and needy
My recommendation use a ecologist disguise you will pass by all hostile factions (not including monolith or sin)as neutral it will save you tons of trouble in the long run even if ecologist suits are weakest in ballistic resistance you could always upgrade them or put plates in your artifact slots if you are discovered.
you "breaking the game" at 13:24 is known as the "busy hands" bug and is made more common by animation-adding mods like animated eating/drinking/butchering, which is why a lot of them got removed from GAMMA.
Hold shift and press the K key if the settings aren't different you will be able to open the trait screen and in EFP if you have a rifle scope you can equip it in you binocular slot and use is to look long range.
Trait points are your perks by using them to increase a specific trait like haggling you get discounts when buying or leadership to increase the ammount if companions you can have ect...
Hey dude already really enjoying the series. Just so you know there is a key bind that lets you teleport your companions to you. Looking forward to watching the rest
When the game says "you're not disguised", do you want to take any chances? ;) Just find a quiet corner and put on the suit there. Higher rank NPCs will see through your disguise earlier / at longer range. For best effect: no weapon out, normal or slow walking (no sneaking), visible gear in good condition (suit, helmet, weapon). I'm not sure if you're allowed to loot. If you do have a weapon out, lower it and see that it fits your disguise. Mercs use NATO equipment etc. You'll still receive a 'disguise penalty' for holding a weapon. That said, I suspect the type of helmet is also a factor. I believe combat is considered a hostile and/or suspicious action, even if it's against mutants, which might greatly increase the range at which you're disguise gets blown. Eggheads are neutral with almost everybody, their suits can offer decent rad/anomaly protection, but are lacking in combat relevant stats. You can't disguise as Monolith! Just don't expect to talk to anyone. If you get too close they only speak bullets. Should be easy to get past Duty at the Rostok Checkpoint in Garbage, but the guard posts in Rostok are too narrow to keep enough distance to the NPCs.
Most influential factor for staying in disguise longer is actually the condition of your disguise proper, also dont just run everywhere, your helmet also plays an important part, you need to have one that "covers" your face, such as skimasks, bandanas or any gasmask, the screen helmets are bad at this. Then you get other small factors like the condition of your guns in holster. Ofc, if you walk around with your shooter in hand even if lowered expect everyone to gift you lead. NPCs don't care if you're on combat, dont pull out any guns and you'll be fine. Talks need to be short (really short) or outright not have any talking with anyone.
I know Grok is making this change for GAMMA but I hope EFP does this too but if someone else completes your mission you shouldn't get the full amount either 1/3 or half of the amount you were originally going to get. Also to state how much you lost since you didn't do the job. Just a cool little QoL feature
Eh, I prefer if it was an addon and not part of the modpack I mean, Imagine you could not get to kill your objective (cause distance or just bad luck knowing how sometimes this game does the silliest of things...) and getting punished by it, all the travel, ammo, meds, and food wasted. That kind of grind sucks honestly.
@@ViroRads On the other hand, yesterday I was talking with The Butcher in Garbage and he assigned me a mutant hunting quest. While I was still talking to him, some stalker right outside the building killed the mutant in question which validated the quest and instantly gave me money without me moving a toe. Also, all features in GAMMA modpack are individual addons put together so even if it's activated by default you'll be able to just untick it if you don't like this particular thing.
@@Qloud7 DOH. Ok I’m juiced I’ll do that. I just recently bought my first PC in 15 years just to play Stalker and it’s mods again so I’m in the Stone Age with knowing what I can do on a PC

Install it on a different drives
It can be installed on the same drive no problem. You just need to make sure that mod organizer is setup as a standalone
Hey Qloud, nice to see your excitement when you play this game. Makes me go back and play it after watching your videos :)

What a nice shot! 19:17 Always cool to see you hit those long distance shots with a pistol. Very nice.

Woo
You can super not remove the barrel of a gun easily, unless it's specifically made to do that, like quick change barrels on machine guns

Why not pick up artifact at first encounter?
I wish I could try this but I don’t wanna get rid of gamma yet
You don’t have to, so long as you don’t mind having two installs on stalker anomaly on your pc
@@Qloud7 So just re-download Anomaly to a different location on my drive and I’m good?
Yeah I have both of mine on my ssd but in separate folders. One for all my EFP installs and one for gamma
