@@rykard72 I honestly don't know. I no longer own the rights, so the future of the game has been on Exalted Funeral's hands for the last year. Knowing their MO though, I very much doubt it, unfortunately.
Your recent videos, and the likelihood that Disciples of Bone and Shadow won't get a physical reprint any time soon, spurred me to pick up a pdf copy from Exalted Funeral. So far it looks great. FYI for those considering it: the pdf version is more printer friendly than the printed version, with most pages black print on white background. There is some grey shading, but nothing too cartridge-breaking.
Ah thanks for the info! I was literally staring at the shop page minutes ago, wondering how realistic it would be to print my own copy :)

What a coincidence! I literally bought Disciples of Bone and Shadow Conquered Sun a few weeks ago and decided to get into it today, just read through the rules and had the printed sheets in front of me, and wanted to take a break and found this video! Looking forward to your video on that.
In regards to Mork Borg encounter level sheets, that is something I'm looking for as well, but couldn't find. I essentially made my own enemy generator based on a threat level that I would assign to each dungeon. I take the threat level, and add d4 to it and consult a chart that details their HP, morale, attack and defense. Enemies would also have modifiers based on a d12, like fast (+2 to hit/defend DR) or blood crazed (will not flee/surrender if they have wounded a player). This would also affect traps, which I've made a large list of, utilizing the moves system of Solitary Defilement as well. I'm still testing it all out as I play!
Disciples of Bone and Shadow plays very nicely with the solo Mork Borg stuff.
I feel like I want the Ironsworn vow system for an overall character arc and its mechanics for social situations, but for everything else I want a system like Disciples of Bone and Shadow. Whether that works in practice, I’m not sure. There is an Ironsworn homebrew called Ironcrunch that I’m investigating that could be the answer to wanting the best of both.
- Disciples of Bone & Shadow conquered sun edition is such a great all in one package! I may need to revisit it soon!
- I agree Deathspace would benefit a lot from a Solitary Defilement treatment. Many good tools / resources / tables packed in the book but not enough guided gameplay structure for me (Sure, I can work out a gameplay structure myself but I would rather have someone like 1D10+5 made it for me :D )
- For Drifter, I actually think it is more streamlined game than Barbarian Prince. There is no resource management / Time tracker etc. Also BP's rule reference system actually means many of the events can have a variety of outcomes, for example most NPCs can be evaded, talk to, fight with and each option branch reference other rules and the result can be very unique.
- Lastly, very interested about Runecarin!

I believe the cryptic explorers creator is planning to create modules for death in space - unsure if any of it will be solo focused.

Solo Orbits is a Dark Fort take on Death in Space. I just used the Iron Ring setting information from Death in Space it is a great setting.

@@TheDungeonDive Makes sense. As you say it looks pretty heavy, so I'm not _entirely_ sad that no more copies are available for now, since it's probably out of my league atm.
I’ve trying to pick up a physical copy of Bone and Shadow for a while but it always seems to be out of stock. Anyone know where I can get a copy, or am out of luck?
It’s out of print, not just out of stock. I got mine on eBay. Just the PDF is available now.
It sells out quickly when it’s reprinted so there is demand. Hopefully they’ll consider another reprint.
With all of the print-on-demand options available today (DriveThruRPG), I don't understand why these things go out of print. Oh well!
For what I know, Exalted Funeral plans to reprint it later this year, but I don't know how much they'll stick to that. They will end up reprinting it for sure though. I hope they release the unpublished expansion and the zines too, at some point.
@@omgMerrick it was one of my points of contention with them, yeah. I personally love DTRPG and Lulu, but EF's policy is to handle it all themselves, which means the book sells out in a matter of weeks each time it's reprinted.

It is far to the end of the complexity scale for me. I wish there was a good rules summary document for it. It seems really great, and I've read through the book a couple of times, but there is a lot to remember when it comes time to actually playing the game, and the rules are a little all over the place. So many great ideas, though!
@@TheDungeonDive I hear that man, but there is a community on the publishers discord where fans have made a bunch of supplements, including: rules summary pages and booklets, character sheets, and DM screen summary inserts.
Unfortunately I avoid Discord like the plague. But I’m super happy that stuff exists for the users!

I most likely will not. It's a bit on the BIG side for me. It's even more robust and complex than DoBaS, and that is to robust and complex for me. My favorite game from him is Broken Shores aka God Shard, which I've covered.
