Just found your video. I’m from Winneconne and my son and I are heading toWindrock from April 12 to the 18th Meeting 6 other friends there from Florida. We will be in the same boat you were as we’ve never been here before but are watching all the videos on utube to get ideas where to ride. I’m the only one experienced riding as I ride Dunbar area all the time. Will probably be riding the blue and green trails to get everyone started! Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the support my man. If you look in the video description, there is a ride command link showing our route for the first day. Also, you're gonna have a blast. If ya haven't already snag up their app was very helpful getting around. More videos to come.
@Mike Roberts I double-checked and opened the link from my mobile device. I believe you have to have the ride command installed on your device in order for the trip to open. I hollered at a buddy, and he was able to open it as well. I will throw the route up on my Let Er Rip Facebook as well in the next day or 2.
I will have some royal blue videos coming up. At the general store, ask questions, and they are very knowledgeable and point you in the right direction. Rule of thumb. the closer you get to the center of the park, the rowdier it gets.
Yep got the app and have been watching vids on all the trails! Surprisingly some of the greens even look pretty gnarly. We are staying in Caryville. Do you know if we can ride right from there or do we have to go to the park entrance?
@Mike Roberts don't quote me on this, but I believe you can ride right from there. I parked in a lot off I75 and was able to ride roads into the park. I know a bunch of county roads are legal around that area. I would call the General Store at Royal Blue, and they can most likely get you definite answers or point you in the right direction.
I called the store and they said no but can get to trails from Rocky Top. I got your recorded ride opened and it looked great! Does ride command show you trails? I’m watching lots of videos with guys having RC and nobody has it turned on
That was a real good video, It gave a feel for the place and what to expect. I have never been there either but very soon I will be coming in from Canada to check it out. Good job guys! Subbed!
Nice change of pace everyone wants to ride and video all the known trails but I’d like to c some of the other parts nice video stay safe will catch ya on the next 1
Too funny, I’m headed there next month! I went to South Dakota a month after you I’m headed to colorado in august are you going in July? We have to get our timing together! Thx for the vid
Lol. Actually heading to Moab in June and West Virginia in August. If ya wanna change things up, instead of Colorado in July, come to Moab in June. and yes, I agree sooner or later we will have to coordinate a trip. Also, for commenting, you are entered into our 1000 subscriber giveaway
Thanks for the support good sir. We took all of the above, lol. Axles, radious rods, tie rods, drive-shaft, etc. You always see the carnage of Windrock but very little of just enjoying the ride. We staged at a locals house and he said most of the most filmed trails are so dug out from popularity and big tire rigs that he said you're pretty much gonna break something to make it up the trail. Since we were on fresh builds/shake down ride we didn't know what the machines could do yet. However, during the trip we started heading towards more challenging trails and most black trails are challenging but very do-able. We did do a couple of double blacks and survived as well. As far as what ya bring better to have it and not need it vs need it and not have it.
@Let Er Rip SXS and Adventure all the trail content you shared is exactly where I would want to ride...I really am not a fan of rock climbing trails....so look forward to rest your trip!!
I like them trails great video guys thanks
