It was wonderful to have Sen. Brown as my senator when I lived in Ohio. He is a genuine, dedicated Representative of the People. He is also very well known and highly regarded for his knowledge and expertise in economic matters.

I'm an Ohioan, and I saw Brown speak at a press conference just after the Dayton shooting. From what I recall, he was PISSED, and passionately called for concrete solutions to America's gun crisis, at long last. This man does us proud.
I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. I still live here. I love my city. I feel very proud that he represents my state. I just wish him or someone like him was Mayor instead of Nan Whaley
So why are so many Senate "jurors" having lunch at the White House, and taking money from the accused? That seems as far from approriate as is possible.
It is, welcome to our system. Though in fairness he hasn't formally been accused yet.

Senate 'republicans' claim they just cannot comment on these proceedings "because effectively we are the jury for this upcoming trial" but also take funding (payoffs) for their campaigns from The Donald.
@Roald Shakleton Because they make the laws they have to follow, so if anything gets in the way of them progressing, they just make a new law repealing it as soon as their party takes power again.
Brown has been the only honest elected official to represent Ohio in quite some time.

It's bluer than you might think. Democrat Danny O'Connor very nearly won Ohio's 12th Congressional seat...a district that DT won by 11 points. In other words, Democrats shifted the district by about 11 points. I'm convinced gerrymandering is the biggest reason he didn't win.
@Hector Vega, Ohio is heavily gerrymandered. And we (seemingly regularly) have our voter rolls purged (by our Republican secretary of state) of certain voters just because they haven't voted in the 2 most recent elections and such shenanigans. :(

Senator Sherrod Brown is the real patriot for the common man and woman. His populism for the Dignity of Work is the real deal. I am glad I took inspiration for his canary in the coal mine pin that he wears. As a unionized worker, I am glad he has our backs.

I keep hearing this, but what people tend to forget is that authoritarian states try to exert control over historians, much like Trump is currently trying to do with journalists. So, who's to say there will be any objective historians left in the future.

This is the first time I've seen and heard Sen. Sherrod Brown. I'm impressed by his intellect and his motivation to serve not only Ohioans, but also all Americans. You Ohioans have got a good thing going with this guy.

Am from Africa, my fear for US politicians is, running away from the truths for political reasons. People will never forget what they doing right now. We look up to US when it comes to democracy in Africa but what am witnessing since 2016 saddens me. Am begging Republicans and Democrats to work together for the truth.
