isn't the ground clearence too low on this car? What would you do when you go country roads or other wild roads?
I have bought one last week. The ground clearence is ok, not too low, however it is not adequate for extreme off-road. You will be fine if you go in unpaved roads. Just don’t do extreme off road like going through rocks.

Buy other ,, weekend,, fast car (e.g. 3.0 liter engine;-) why would you want more power from something being designed for lower emissions, low consumption. It makes no sense 🙂

@@sic22l every EV and hybrid has that problem. Sure you do hear wind and tire roll, but it doesnt bother me at least. In the 30K price range the sound isolation in the Corolla is great. For someone who wants excelent sound isolation needs to go to premium cars like Mercedes C Class to have that premium quality.

Good afternoon! I drive daily on country mountain road (80km to work+80km back home) with speeds from 40 to 70 km/hr. From your experience after driving these cars, do you think it worths of buying this hybrid car in terms of fuel consumption? Thank you!
it has good fuel consumption on city or country road with low speed (like many curves/mountains or many village with intersection) always in city was around 5 liter or more

how is the 1,8 Hybrid (122hp) in streets with large differences in altitude (inclines) ? Like for example in the alps ? Is the car able to get up ? Because it looks kinda hard for the car to reach 100km/h on the Autobahn, I know it's normal for Hybrid-cars (E-CVT), but I'm concerned about the lack of torque.

Great video, thanks! there is a thing I dont understand. 100km/h : 5.1l/100km ; 120 km/h : 5.1l/100km ! Can some brilliant engineer explain please.
If the car moves downhill it needs less gasoline to maintain a certain speed. That's my guess ie that 120km/h recording happened in a downhill road. There are other possibilities too like air resistance etc, but the difference from 100 to 120 shouldn't be huge anyway.

Starts at 40kmh.
It depends on how do you accelerate and if there is slope. If you accelerate slowly the fuel consumption will start at higher speeds.

if you drive these speeds don t by a hybrid, -its useless, consider BMW 530 like mine before and you enjoy but if you drive highway around 100km/h and city and traffic yams it s more nice the hybrid

I can report, Android Auto work well with my Corolla. I dont know how I lived so far without it :)

43 liter exact, at normal corolla engine without hybrid are 50 liter, i booked on compact like seat leon or golf
It has nothing to do with WLTP, hybrids have small tanks worldwide.
@@sic22l you are right, but Toyota does not offer extended fuel capacity in their configuration while others mostly do.
Except for Mercedes I haven't seen such option in any car.

Leider war der Toyota Auris Hybrid unser letzter Toyota. Nicht weil wir unzufrieden waren, sondern deren Design Sprache im innenraum ist unmöglich so wie leider bei bald allen anderen auch. Dieses Billig anmutende Display Draufgeklebe ist soo unmöglich und Hässlich das ich ... könnt. Genau wie deren Konfiguration Optionen ( wenn du das willst musst du erstmal das auswählen ).
Nein, das glaube ich anfangs auch, aber man gewöhnt sich daran. Nach einer gewissen Eingewöhnungszeit finde ich es viel besser und viel schöner als das Interieur des Auris und des Golf. Sie werden im Video nicht gezeigt, aber Sie können den Tacho konfigurieren und analog aussehen lassen

doch ab 13:15 fuhr ich mit tempomat, sonst rest der video ohne tempomat, wollte was etwas zeigen wie man selber fährt usw :)

No it will calculate very different way, only petrol engine has 98 hp and only electric is 72 hp, so that combined calculations power is 122 hp, i am not good at high level mathematicans
I think, it's limited by factory. I wish they we could unlock full power over 120 km/h.

It consume (at higher speeds) a lot as hybrid so mild hybrid are worse/same shit
People mostly don't buy hybrids to race, but just to commute and save money. If you prefer aggressive driving, your choice will be 3.0liter petrol engine at least ...but always people don't bother with price if their pleasure is just driving fast, or?

@@TESTDRIVEFREAK The new Supra is a BMW, so naturally it will be brilliant. GT 86 looks fast, but it's slower than a minivan. TRD models sporty only in appearance and they look terrible. Having said all that, I'm looking forward to see the new Corolla GR sport, because the Yaris GRMN was alright.
11 liters at 160km/h??!! this car are not for highway or autobahn in this case!! consumption are terribly high for this horse power and size of car !! this car are only good for city drive most of time while everything else it consume more then 300+hp bmw 7 gasoline version
I've driven 150 km/h+ on the highway for 300 km, consumption was 7.5 l/100 km. At 120 km/h it's around 5 l/100 km.

Dimitris Chitas ich habe einen 1.8 Turing Sports das was du siehst ist ein momentanverbrauch, ich fahre meinen im Schnitt mit Winterreifen gemischte Strecke mit 5,2 l/ 100 km
Verbrauchsangaben sind sehr unrealistisch denn es werden ja eigentlich nur Vollgas-Tests gefahren. So fährt kein Hybrid-Fahrer in der Realität. Fahre den 1,8er Hybrid als Touring Sports.
Bis 130 kmh ist er sparsam, mehr als 150 trinkt er viel, bin 3000km mit ch-r hybrid gefahren, war immer 9-10 liter autobahn mit 160, bei 100 kmh landstrasse 5 liter, bin noch 2 andere corolla gefahren, 2.0 hybrid normale und touring, kannst alle nachsehen, videos sind in meine kanal

@@Bruce3001hh da hilft erst wenn du ganz oben auf den hohe berg und ganze zeit nur downhill rollen lässt, das ist bestimmt möglich mit 100 score :D, hatte ca 75 score gehabt , manchmal 50 oder so, fahre gern zügig :) aber kann auch sein das ich höhere score hatte aber hab nicht draufgeachtet
