Love this song! Me and my sons mother didn’t work out, and we may not be on separate states but it’s still hard doing the back and forth and not having my best friend with me 24/7!
For this being your first time listening to the song, I think you REALLY absorbed the message of the song well. Several others who commented on their first time hearing it, like me, was more taken by the great TUNE, but didn't absorb the WORDS and story at first. Much like Piano Man by Billy Joel: I was taken by the tune, but didn't realize at first, that the words told a sad story.
