Before creating My Chemical Romance, the lead singer of this band (Gerard Way) was working on a cartoon to be pitched to cartoon Network but they turned down his offer. On his way out of the building and as he was getting ready to go home that day, this was when 9/11 happened and he sat and watched as the first plane hit the tower. That's what this song is about, that song is about 9/11 and the impact it had on him personally and many other people.
