Ep 63 was very ambitious, although not executed properly because of time production constraints, it is still one of my top favorite episodes
The quality will be improved in the later epispdes
the movie has similar scenes .... astas awakening scene
Can we appreciate the way Asta's voice actor improved? Everyone talks about the animation this episode but i think the voice acting was on point

16:53 No no- It actually is Devil. The subtitles are wrong. In the manga, a Devil resides in the 5th Leaf. Devils and Demons are very different.

Damn, seeing this just makes me miss boruto sundays and black clover tuesdays in 2017-2020, best parts of my day coming home to school and watching each episode, and now i just finished my senior year and on the way to adulthood

The execution wasn't perfect but it was proof of concept for the art style. It'll get much more polished next time they do it. :)

It was basically the same style as the 9 Tails v Pain fight in Naruto.
The translation is wrong, although this detail won't matter until WAYYY later on. Within a 5th leaf resides a DEVIL. Not a Demon. Separate entities. Asta's book has a devil in it
It's not a mistake. It's just how it translates. "Demon" and "devil" are basically synonymical words so until both creatures called differently there's no problem.
Like, for example, the word "majin" (that is used for big demon that wizard king killed) in re:zero usually translates as "warlock", and used just as a male form of "majo" (witch). Akuma (which is used for Asta's demon) is more suitable to be called demon.
I think the right translation would be to make what lives in Asta's grimoire a demon and just get a new name for a big guy
Devil isn't even suppose to be used here since it's suppose to mean THE devil, one and only. Has an abrahamic religion flavor to it. It triggered me a lot when they randomly translated "akuma" as "devil" in chainsaw man. And they translated "majin" as "fiend" though, could be a good name for a big guy.

@@shrekkek9396 very wrong. Devil reffers to the one like in Asta's book, while Demons, are the one the first wizard king killed, the skull. They are separate entities in BC universe, and IT DOES matter

the furture episodes that you're going to get to is going to be nuts and I can't wait to see the reactions to it.
my fav episode. soooo cool and interesting. the main animator did most of it himself, he carried it basically, and this motivated more animators to come in and work on BC
why did boruto get the budget man, this could of been a top 3 black clover ep man
At the time Naruto and Sasuke vs momoshiki was being produced, which is arguably the best anime fight within the last 5 years, so the fact they still gave this amazing animation is unbelievable, landscape and background wasn't perfect but it still looks good
Asta knowing he's an idiot, yet, one of the few MC that doesn't fall under the "please free me I won't do evil anymore"
Now is when good becomes great
Many people hatedthis cause the environment and landscape is incomplete and looks shit which i understand but they cant take away the beautiful animation that came with it
Not to mention that they couldn't do better because of the work conditions about Black Clover

The animation in the last episode is made by the same people but they make this way with low frames and a little bad draw cuz black clover was receiving 0 budget to animation , and thats they way to show this
0 budget, 0 time and the entire team could've used a few more people

I never noticed it until now but if anti-magic runs through Asta's body while in the devil form then doesn't the anti-magic cancel out the witch queen's blood in Asta's body?
there are different channels of energy. hers is blood, his was spirit. Also anti-magic requires will to use. her power created the path in him to raw the anti-magic out due to it homes in on magic, which he has none. afterwards he learns to let the power flow directly. with him being knocked out, she could app,y her will through him.
