On the REAL console, my best run was AREA 3 STAGE x. Anyway, I'm now playing this game through an emulator. At this very moment, I reached area 8 stage 2, and I only managed to do this by saving at every "safe" checkpoint. It would be impossible if I tried to make it through all of this on the console. THIS IS JUST FRICKIN' HARD, MAN!!!!! NES games are painful but even so, I love and respect them and also the creators of these beautiful games.

***** Can't believe it. I don't remember of such a thing existing in this game even if I played for so many years. I do remember I found an egg containing something at the end of level 1-1 but don't remember about that bee... I just replayed the level and found out that there IS a bee there afterall. After 15 years from my very first run of this game, I just learned something new :)):)):)). So the thing is, after you lose all your lives, you are returned to title screen, you press down an arrow key and then press start. You may start the world you were game over in. Very cool.
@@bogroman13 Yes, the bee allows you to continue. I saw it in a book at a bookstore about secret cheat codes. Even with the bee 🐝 I could not finish the game. It was so hard!

Yo lo tenía en Family Game y lo gasté pobre juego. Llegaba a la final pero había tres arañas en columna en la última pantalla que sin hacha no podías pasarla. Una lastima pero no lo pude descular nunca a esa pantalla. Lo hacia con los ojos cerrados. El flaco acá o la mina siempre está con fueguito y eso no era así. La parte más dificil era el hielo para mi.

I don't know why Nintendo so damn popular back in the day. I mean what are games when you can't even "save"? I tried going back and playing some of these old classics but quickly lost interest. Ill play any SNES games any day or anything from the 4th generation. But screw Nintendo, you got to be a damn professional just to beat anything on this console. I guess games back then were made just to have fun with it, but not necessarily complete and finish.

I just remember getting to 7-4, and dying. May as well reset the game if that happens that far into the game. I eventually beat the game, but I was stuck at 7-4 for a long time. Once I got past there, Im pretty sure I finished the game that same sitting.

I cant believe the modern games cant provide such suspense and intensity these days. Everything is bland. I can't believe this game isn't as popular as Mario.
