I tried following your video on BRD bracers, but I just couldn't get the hang of it. I tried following your videos on Sunken Temple Drakestone off-hand, but as Frost AoE spec I just didn't have the damage at all and I don't want to respec back and forth, so I gave that up. I tried following this video, and after a handful of deaths I managed to get the timing down, and eventually got a good total time too. Finally a video I managed to replicate, thank you so much for the guides! (Now, only 16 hours of grinding ahead for the epic mount. /sigh)
Instead of blizzarding the bugs, just pull all, jump in the middle and ice block. After that a flame strike + CoC Will oneshot them. Saves you some time and it is safer as the mobs are easier to gather. Also, boss drops a pretty nice bracer for mages.
There's a much more efficient way to do the bugs, you just wand the first group while standing on the rock, when they run away a bit you then jump up, agro the other 2 groups and just block and then come out and kill them all, will save you another min or two
All dogs have diffrent attack times, even if i survive i die from the bleedings -.- guess getting out of the Ice is the most difficult part, and i need a bigger manapool cuz of the manashield.
What the addon that shows a number next to the immunes to indicate how many attack were avoided. I’m using the ‘normal’ option in setting that shows immuned attacks on ice block, but it’s very difficult to actually know which ‘stack’ of immune is the best to break on.
Did it beter for you then DME with Herbarism? & How mach better Skinning can make this metod (estimated average amount od leather per run can be vary usefull information)?

@@Velreine Tips: 1.) You need high HP gear if you aren't going to LIP. Never try this in all pre-raid BIS, you will die every time. Get Necropile and other high HP/Mana gear. 2.) Position your mage as close to the edge as you can before you block. 3.) Experiment with a Blizzard beforehand to stagger the clump/attacks and WAIT/pay attention to when MOST of the mobs are hitting you while you're in ice block, then move off the edge when the least amount of mobs will be hitting you and nova. You will lose most of your health but shouldn't die. After that it's easy. If you do not have the correct HP gear this is not possible without a LIP. I didn't even mana shield, just ice barrier. With mana shield it will probably be even easier. This is coming from someone who just started doing this today, never on a private or original classic. The gear/timing is the most important part of this. You can do it.

Having trouble with dogs resisting nova, seems that even a couple dogs resisting will end up in a wipe unless I reset. What do you do in these situations?
This farm is easy to execute the only problem I’m having is getting one hit over and over by the dogs, I tried listening to what you had to say looking at the dogs biting to predict when to leave block but I still die.. is there any good addons or tricks to predict this sort of thing
Looks like alot of people are having trouble with this. I think maybe its because you dot use the macro for your iceblock so it takes a long time to get out of it ? Its all about the timing. I just farmed a bit over 450g today in dm north wihtout having wipes. Practice makes you good

Hey man I m a little late to the party (,got my mage alt to 60 2 days ago) is this better gold/hr than ZF 1 pull Gy+ scarabs in 10 mins? That one is really easy while here I have died with the dogs so was wondering if the profit is worth the risk.
in that case I would probably stick to ZF farming. However if you have herbalism you can make alot of gold farming Dire maul if you include the east wing and kill lashers, satyrs + herb the dreamfoil, gromsblood and ghostmusrhooms :)
Ya i give it a few good pulls fresh 60 mage mostly pre-raid bis , I did manage to clear once and then gave up because of red gear :( so yes you need some purples
Yeh I got them on the 3rd time. I think they are 5% drop so I was lucky. But it took forever as I always die from the bleeds not matter what. You cant time the attacks like he claims as all dogs attack at different times.

try to watch the dogs animations on attacking and when you see most of them lunge at you break block and run off, if all of them are about to hit you right as you come out you get one shot
Shouldn't happen with icebarrier and Manashield applied max Rank. I stay as close to the edge as possible faceing the wall and jumping backwards. I have 2,3k hp unbuffed. Right now you can get free Stam buffood in every Inn, just loot the Apples, they give 15 Stam on lvl 60.
@@Jrekt You can kill them a slightly slower way then if you can't figure this out. When they first come up, just use a rank 1 blizz to have them group up a bit, and if you have time, a max rank after, then jump down before they get to you and do the usual strat from there. They'll be a little more spread but it's still pretty easy and very unlikely that you'll die. You also don't need them to glitch on that corner, you can follow them as they come back along the ledge to get to you and keep blizzing them to hell.
@@Timira if u farm north, u Do the boss every time? Cuz u I think u do it quiet fast - so u can run it 5 times per hour - and only dogs and lashers give so much Gold?

@@lagmikl4634 Sorry to disappoint you but i have 2,5k hp and i do farm every day 6-7hours in DM north (6,1k mana buffed) and i die maybe one time in that 6-7hours of farming. So i can definitly tell you that you are wrong :-) It matters about timing, positioning and even when you do the nova - once nova is down the hounds have for like 1,5 seconds a higher attack range. So do not instant nova, wait like 0.2-0.3 seconds after jumping to get more distance..... I must admit the way he does the scarabs is a bit waste of time, you can just pull them all together, iceblock, then nova and then flamestrike + cone of cold - then maybe 1 more arcane explosion and they are done... my guess is your casting it on the wall and not the ledge? the only time it ever bugged for me like that was if i misclicked it on the wall even tho it said it should have hit them
This does not work, I've been trying it for a couple hours, its very rng. about 1 in 4 attempts can you make it out of the block with the dogs. They kill you instantly most of the time. I'd like to add I am following your steps as close as humanly possible.
its a private server. If you stand on ledge they aggro, if you blizzard they run trhough too fast because of blizzard pulsing in the real classic servers. Private servers blizzard instantly applies as you saw in this video.

I haven't had any issues doing this in classic never played a private server before. Haters gonna hate tho. You should level a mage in classic and try it before saying its impossible its easier than ZF gy farm imo.

This is a pretty nice way to farm, sometimes you get very lucky on greens from the scorpid/spider/scarabs i got 6 greens in one pack!
I've got a ton of weapons that sell for 4-5g each. I even got a pristine black diamond on my 3rd boss kill :)

In the video I mention a pre quest for the key. Its not a quest but an event in DM east with a little imp you have to follow and kill.

5 skinning levels per mob level, I think the hounds are 55ish so you'd need 275ish skinning

I always get one shot coming out of block even with both shields up, 3100hp

Yes it is worth farming but in my opinion north is the better farm for pure gold. Atleast thats where I had best gold/hour so far.

If you have less than 3000 hp, then you will die when the dogs bite you, after removing the ice block. The video was shot an ideal case.
Its All about timing. I did this with 2,5k hp too.

Just alone item from boss is 1,5-4,6g and then theres greens etc aswell from the dogs and bugs. If you dont get this its obviously a lot less gph
