      It's 2 dollars an hour.
      If you really enjoy it 2 dollars is better then zero dollars doing something else you enjoy.
      But it's not worth anyone's time in the first world if you don't enjoy it. Just get a job or do Uber or something.

      I just started doing it, but do it in my down time during the work day. Just cashed out my first $20, but figure $3/day is completely doable most days. That should get me close to $100 at the end of the month. Not much, but $100 more than not doing it…

    I downloaded Survey Junkie and would do it from work on my down time in between trucking loads and in the last six months I've made almost $700. It's honestly worth it to me because I'm a single mom putting my daughter through college so that $100 a month pays the phone bill or extra grocery money so in that aspect I really truly do enjoy it. Working as a trucking dispatch during the day and a bartender at night I don't mind little side hustles because anything helps in this economy.

      What is your normal job? The first survey took me about an hour and a half. I work a Joiner business, which is the same thing as a cabinet/furniture maker, and with deadlines no time to do this on the job. I often wondered how some people do these things and have time to do other extra curricular activities? A few jobs(commissions) have taken as long as 3 weeks and can be anywhere from 45 hours weekly to as much as 60~65ish hours weekly. Its very physical at times especially if build ins. Lots of back and forth.

      Exactly dude, they want consumers, people who spend, buy, do stuff, the more you consume, the more surveys you get, but inevitably the more you actually consume the less the money from the surveys do for you
      But people can easily mess it up with thier lying, I find it's better to write down some common questions they ask and your normal answer to them, apps like surveytime actually let you see the answers you've given to previous surveys but the majority don't
      I live in Nigeria and survey junkie isn't available here, besides it, do you have any other survey sites you frequently use?

Half the time I don't qualify or they reach their limit even while you're doing the survey so it does take time to build up points. I do it when I have time.

    Most every side hustle uses people to get a service done while refusing to pay a decent amount of money based on your time. App based food delivery services pay less than the average per mile rate that is needed to justify the amount of gas and time it takes to deliver in a 4-8 hour shift and is mainly reliant on tips. Survey apps and websites are no different and they only pay like 5-7 cents per survey which means you'd have to do about 100 surveys to make a measly $5 or more.

  • @OneoftheLastBand
    @OneoftheLastBand ปีที่แล้ว +54

    Ok so I've been doing Survey Junkie since December 5th and I just wanted to share my experiences:
    First off, I'm one of those people that get hyper focused on something and go full throttle. My day job (outside of music and yes this is my band's TH-cam account) has a lot of sitting around and waiting for an issue to happen so there's a lot of downtime. I'm not exactly sure where I found Survey Junkie but I decided to give it a shot. Just like you said Mike, you would need to get 500 points to redeem for a gift card/cash and I wanted to get up to that point. The first 3 days, I caught fire. I was able to complete surveys between 25 and 200 points so I easily surpassed the 500 point mark in that time period. I ended up with 1,090 points (almost $11). The first thing I wanted to do was to see what the breakdown was for gift cards. Some places would give you a little bonus (2x for every point) but not here. This was a straight 1:1 scenario. I opted for PayPal instead. Did the transaction and within 2 hours, I had a payment for $10.90 in my account! It actually worked! Then I took it up another level. Day and night I would be on this website just doing these surveys but getting a lot of 2 or 3 "you don't qualify" points. It still added up. As of right now (12/28), I'm at 14,809 lifetime points ($148) and I received every cent. It's a legit website but the question is: is it worth it?
    Before I answer that question, let me talk about the negatives. I've completed a lot of surveys and sometimes, you get the same ones. 90% of the time, SJ notices this and bumps you out and gives you 2-3 points. Other times, you do the ENTIRE SURVEY, only for them to give you 0 points and the "please answer these questions truthfully" message. That hurts but is what it is. Other times, the points to time ratio is horrendous. There would be a 50 point survey but would take you 30 minutes to do. Is 30 minutes of my time worth 50 cents? Absolutely not. I avoid those and look for the highest amount possible with the shortest time. Usually a 5:1 point to time ratio works in my favor. If you have a 50 point survey, the most time I'd personally spend is 10 minutes. I have gotten burnt on those too. I would sometimes see 100 points for a 1 minute survey, then that survey would change to a 30 minute survey. I usually click "prefer not to answer" until they kick me out and give me a couple of points (so it's not a huge waste). These past few days though, my account has definitely been throttled. I would follow the same techniques that I always did but I hardly got the full amount. I'm going to continue up until after the holidays just to see if it's truly my account or the time of the year.
    To answer that question in the first paragraph, I think it's worth it. You're not going to be a millionaire from it but I used that money to pay my subscription costs and threw some extra money in the bank. If SJ was more consistent with paying out bigger amounts, I would still probably be obsessed with it. Now that it died down a little, I might just do enough per month to pay some small bills or put that money towards a nice night out or something. Sorry for the rant but I wanted to help out anyone who's interested in signing up. Great video though!

    Lol. I used to work doing surveys, but actually interviewing the people taking the survey. And when people would ask, "What do you do for a living?" I would say I do surveys. They would say, "So you just take surveys all the time?" I had to clarify, "No, no, I invite peoole to come into our office and take a survey". We had a quota to complete. Sometimes our boss would put RESPONDENTS as older or younger than they actually were.

    Ok I get that if youre trying to save up for a car from surveys then theres no way. You will never be able to do that. But if you spent a little time each day and got $1-2 each and every day thats $30-60 a month which would cover a lot of small things like streaming subscriptions or an Amazon Prime subscription.

    It’s ok if your broke and unemployed. You could sit for maybe two hours and make a few bucks. But the surveys sometimes freeze or glitch and sometimes they don’t give you the points after you complete them. And some of them repeat the same questions and they can just be a waste of time. If your really broke and can’t find a job, then I’d suggest hustling on something else like food delivery (doordash and Uber eats) or walking dogs or babysitting or whatever. But if you can’t do those either, then just keep a specific and consistent fake info about yourself and maybe you’ll pull through. When I used to do the surveys, I was always a white guy born in 1990 living in Arizona with a family and two kids. Usually the surveys fell for those lies. Don’t ever give them your real info.

    If you live in a third world country where the money exchange actually makes a difference. It would be a good option for people that do not work, and 6 dollars can provide them grocery for 5 days. Not sure if you can actually do these surveys if you live there though.

    • @keno_maxed
      @keno_maxed ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm in Nigeria, this particular site he tests in the video, isn't available here, but some other good options are
      I'm racking up about 10-15 of them now though
      You don't get as many surveys if you're in a third world country compared to countries like the US, UK Germany or Australia, but if you join enough and are active enough, it can be a full time job here.
      Minimum wage is 30000 naira, or 67 US dollars, so an extra 100 dollars a month would literally be someone's salary for a month and a half
      And all you have to do is click buttons on a screen, those minimum wage job are either tiring secondary production jobs( teaching, small office work etc) or back breaking hard labour
      So you're right, they are pretty good if you're living in a third wolrd country
