I like Peter more than Miles just because Peter is more basic and less flashy. This os not just with Miles for me this also goes for Wally & Barry. I prefer Barry because Wally is flashy and more of a high potential man. I like the characters that are more underdog-ish and less flashy. But with that all being said... Miles is still GASSSSSSS
If anyone wants a list of Miles' curent villains: Rymr the big bad vampire fought him in bloodhunt) Rabble (shes basically the main antag of his 2022-24 run) Gust (not much is known about her othwr than her powers and she was on a villain task force) Agent Gao she just hates the concept of heroes in general and was trying to arrest miles all fhe time Zip Zephyr new greek inspired villain and a actual demi god (kind of a joke but hes actually putting in work sometimes ) Bumbler basically miles' schocker Hightail (speedster anti hero) Frost Pharoh (he's like weird to explain but the name says it all) he's the Ryan gosling sphinx image with ice powers and mechs Black Samson (big buff dude who's an arms dealer he has like strength amplification like bane I think) I'm not counting his clones here tbh since they're dead except for shift The accessor (robot baddie that iron man beat up) Quantum (we never see them again but they're a teleporter) I'm not including the prowler here 😒 Snatcher (PDF that trafficks kids using his mind control abilities that only work on minors 💀) Generally Peter's rogues don't have beef with miles unless they're hired to do so so he's chill with rhino and scorpion mostly Thats all i got 😭

When I believe he has his own sinister 5 and on top of that, they say he should have it. thank you, nenohuh your list made realize miles has more og villains and they are good some of their motivations are not that strong. But I love, his new comics and I will tell you the only thing I agree with sloan miles keeps getting new power's he doesn't need great list of facts.

To be honest with "Popular characters getting pushed is natural" is understandable, letting it be that way is kinda sucky when it comes to black characters. Not many people do know BV, but so many people should. My point is as much as I like static shock, or accept Miles cause he's honestly A-OK. Other characters like Tyroc, Brother Voodoo, Photon, Rocket, Ikon, Night Thrasher shouldn't be left in comic book limbo, this goes for so many other characters left to rot in the back-storage of comic books tomb of obscurity. It would be kinda ass if you talked to another comic book fan about say - Jezebel Jet and they dismiss her because she isn't Selina Kyle, (That and her brutal off-screen death by Talia which was really unfortunate.) I think the discussion should change from "MIles get's too popular" towards "Other black characters should get more popular."
There’s only so much money to go around for projects on non-popular characters though lol. Not to mention black superheroes have been getting projects in recent years. So yes the most logical way to go about is who has the most positive reception 🤷🏾♂️ not saying it’s fair that those characters get shoved to the side but that’s unfortunately how the world works. Not really something you can blame a single character like Miles for. Hopefully we do at least see some of those characters in the future

Miles is the very definition of a knockoff. He only exists because apparently, there needed to be a black Spider-man. Originality is lost on most modern writers.
