Tarriffs are not helpful, that said tarriffs have harmed the Canadian dollar VS the American dollar when imposed multiple times. Canada has a very small economy relative to ours, and as mean as this sounds, the health of their economy is based on growing exports to the United States. Any drop in exports due to tarriffs, even a very tiny one is felt quickly. - Frank
