    Atoms also collide with free electrons so that will also affect the resistance
    In my book it is written that the by increasing the cross sectional area resistance decreases because the electrons get more space to move but the number of electrons and the atoms should also increase by the same proportion and so the number of collisions i.e the resistance should remain the same

    sir..i have a question..that RESISTANCE also depends upon "nature of material" or not as my tutior tought me that RESISTANCE depends upon 4 factors 1:length 2:area(cross section of conductor) 3:nature of material and last 4:temperature..
    but your are saying that RESISTANCE depends upon only 3 factors..iam so confused sir....😳

    Sir when we increase the cross section area of wire to uske andar atoms bhi to bdenge.... He ... Aur collision bhi hoyega bcz of it's solid nature atoms are tightly packed
    toh fayda kya hua patle and mote wire ka

      In class 12th, you will study about crystal structure properly. More surface area leads to free flow of electrons. so electron flow easily and resistance decrease

    Nature of material is also responsible....

    • @PHYSICSCLASSES2018
      @PHYSICSCLASSES2018  ปีที่แล้ว

      yes. It is forth factor.
      Resistance depends upon resistivity which is a proportionality constant and depends on the nature of material and temperature.
