This chapter is a mad rush, they throw way too much information at the player at once. Can't wait to see your reaction to the ending! Also, hope you play True Colours after this and lis 2, it's my personal favorite in the series.
I watched a few other playthroughs that are out there already and have to say yours is the best one so far. You follow and understand the plot very well, cheers!
This episode kind of illustrated that Safi might be a tad unhinged lol I understand being mad at her mom for getting her book deal canceled but that doesn’t warrant pulling a gun on her. Also I like how at the end when it came to the seeing the breakdown percentage of the decisions she breezed past the part showing that she was part of the 20% that decided to Rush Safi 😂
Choices don’t matter at all. It just changes conversations here and there and that’s all. Whereas in LiS1, if you didn’t know Kate well enough to talk her on the rooftop those choices would decide if she would live or not.
@@kjh23gk Very simple actually, in video, or live, in that whole area, everyone still is under Safi's perception control, Everyone's brain is being poked, like Wanda's Hex, everyone is watching from outside, and seen all that sh"t, like everything is real, but it isn't, classic Telepath move The reason that I say this is because the tornado was also being controlled, the memories, Safi trying to trap Max in the gray motel room, so that she wouldn't let everyone go, maybe not even consciously, but to say that her power is just to change her appearance, like a shapeshifter, It seems a little too simple to me
i could only summarize this up as watching the first 3 seasons of riverdale was like playing the first 3 episodes of lis:DE, it was good but anything after that is just crazyy, i still like to see max though.

Right? literally dragged myself and the only reason i am able to watch is because i love emma. the first game is a masterpiece.before the storm was great and lis 2 was nice too. but god it was just downhill after that.
I was pretty dissapointed with this episode. It was so rushed and the major choice resulted in the exact same outcome. I feel like it took a huge weird turn too.
so we're just gonna gloss over the fact that she effed w/a minor's life and relationship w/his dad, when he had nothing to do w/the very adult business of the book deal being cancelled? holy moly. i'm sorry, but i would tell her to leave my home over that. holy crap. i can totally accept that Safi has abilities, what i can't accept is that effing w/little kid's life in this game gets just glossed over. so not ok.
this chapter is why the game fails at a Life is Strange entry, it is only here for exposition, a short chapter only made because the developers couldn't properly develop all their ideas into meningful moments and gameplay, and they instead chose to go for a chapter where all the exposition is done through a conversation, no game. it's crazy to me they decided to write it in this way.
i was fearful about the duration of this episode cause of true colors chapter 4 duration was about the same, its a shame the pacing was off, overall still a good journey. Can't wait to see your chapter 5 reaction :)

I really, REALLY hate Safi. Like, I get it that you’re hurt, but she literally hurts anyone but the man responsible. I love how Max is like: is there anyone lower than plagiarising your student? And the answer is: absolutely, giving a child trauma to get to an adult. I’m sure anyone with separated/divorced parents that manipulated one another with us, their children, understand what I’m talking about. Safi was so mad that she hurt an innocent child and an innocent mother, besides a professor because she cancelled a book deal. Like, it’s bad, but not the end of the world, you can get other deals with other agents (I’m sure someone will love the juicy details). I mean, you’re telling me that, just now (I’m currently in 38:31) you thought of, oh yeah, I should expose the man responsible, that way I only hurt him By the way, I haven’t watched the entire gameplay yet, but I know somethings that will happen in the future, and from what I understand, she only gets worse
I told Safi i would hurt her if i needed to... because i promised Chloe that i would protect her. And when it came down to it, I chose Arcadia Bay. I wont be a liar anymore
I really like your play through, but I don't think this is a good game. I don't think the developers knew what makes a LiS game good, and there are so many plot holes and glitches.

It's not hard for Max to grasp that Safi's a shape shifter. She watched Safi shift shapes. Pretty straight forward.

And that's ok. You don't have to like all the characters just because Max does. She certainly makes some questionable choices that is for sure.

They really don't know what else to come up with in this series. True Colors was actually the last good Life is Strange game.
I guess we're lucky that we got a few good ones in the series, the streak of good games couldn't last forever
