My god! that training makes my body do something. Makes me excited to train the same way with you, sandra and jesus sensei. No wonder you guys are the best in the world!
Love this! As an *ahem* older Athlete, I only get to do one or two events a year, typically at my own expense. It's great to watch current top tier competitiors in their training, travel, competitions, etc. Thank you for sharing this.
OSS !! Thank you so much for your message. I’m glad you enjoyed the vlog. All these competition you see me travel to are at my own expense as well. So I understand 🙏
Wow! You’re such an inspiration! I went to my first k1 youth league a few weeks ago (A Coruna) and made it to the 4th round!! Also way to leave us on a cliffhanger 🤣
It turned out to be an unrealistically cool video)) Your presentation, funny grimaces, unreal vibe and just a great kata are very inspiring! 🫶I love watching you, every time the mood and motivation rises, you are very cool❤️ I always believe in you, you will achieve all your goals, champion😎
I am your biggest fan. I have watched all your adventures and I like your discipline. I have one question: How do you maintain the same daily routine and this discipline?
Always inspiring to watch your videos although I am doign Shotokan style. I think your videos are getting better and better not just karate. 😉I think my son will know what anime you watch now. He asked you on one of your videos. 😁 Osu.
After being out for 9 weeks because of injury I stepped on the tatami again last weekend and felt so nervous yet so excited at the same time and my god i think the draw releases are just a universal experience!! like why are they nerve wracking for?! You talk a lot about how the week leading up was your tapering phase and training to be very different, how do you find you are adjusting to changes in your programming both physically and mentally? Also what are the favoured phases in your micro-cycles? Huge congrats to you and Grace the season slowly coming up to an end, good luck with Nationals and any other events in the year we are so very proud of yours and Grace's efforts!! OSS!!!!
I’m very happy to hear that you’re back to competing again. And I hope these vlog can help keep you company on the journey. No matter how many competition I go to, waiting for the draws is always the most nerve wrenching part for me 🤣🤣🤣 and in that moment I stop to just appreciate those feelings. Grateful I can feel that way still. For this competition the tapering phase did not feel like a tapering phase 🤣🤣🤣 but when I got to the competition, I was like ohhhh !! This feels easy. I’m still learning. The more I go to Spain the more I learn about each micro cycle. For me the tapering phase has been my favorite because it’s the one with the most details. For example each day was specifically constructed 10 days before comp day. But 6 weeks before competition each phase would last 1 week and it would be the same thing for the week. Hope that answered your question ?? 😅 but as for adjusting to the program embark and physically, in the beginning it was toughhhhhh ! I was like…. Idk how I’m going to be able to peak next week. But as the week progressed I was like “ohh baby, this is getting easier. I can control every part of my body better” and more on the next vlog !! Hahaha 😂 thank you so much !! OSS !!
@@arielkarate1 Thankyou, that really means a lot !! Yeah it would be interesting to know the psych behind why those emotions replay despite the doing it for so long. But yeah that answers my questions for sure, it's really cool just getting different opinions and experiences on different phases as it's what I am currently studying. That's really interesting to hear and also be able to witness too, very excited for the next vlog!!
Hey sense Torres I was wandering how I can work my stances and drills to work them? I recently met you at the training in Pittsburg Pennsylvania and got a picture with you. I forgot to ask that question so if you could answer that would be great
I perfer light and short belt during the fight because it is easier to tie and adjust during sparing . I wear long belt during the training or when I'm not fighting and I think long belt looks better than short belt .

Train !!

Just for question, do you do any kumite?
I was on team USA for kumite before I was for kata. When I turned 18 we focused more on kata for Olympics
