Great to see you continuing this project! I'm going to buy Itiwit 3 soon, so I will probably go your path with adjusting it the way you did. Thank you for inspirations!
Love your videos. Will you be updating your website on this new build soon? Really excited to be able to build mine too. Not sure what material I should use for the boom. -altz from Singapore
Hey man, I have the raw footage in hand, but hadn't had the time to edit them lol. For your boom, don't over think it, use anything from an old fishing rod, mop stick or even a PVC pipe - provided that it has a suitable diameter (eg. 20mm+) and a little stiff (not too bendy/flexible). A boom is basically a rod to stretch your sail horizontally. I like my boom light (for ease of transportation), so I went with a curtain rod and the other was a clothes-line support pole. Cheap and easy to source, nothing could go wrong with that. Give that a go 💪🏼💪🏼 enjoy the sailing experience more than struggling to build a fancy looking-expensive kit that doesn't work 😂
Thank you! Sure it's 39cm x 39cm, it's called Ikea Fisko 100.967.52 for specifications see this : ikea.pointly.net/fisko-10096752-umbrella-base-white-ikea?amp I think you could make it slightly wider and get better stability
Thank you! Yep, I did on episode 8 of this series. But it was more like 12knots+ winds as a storm was approaching 😂 we have another video coming in a few weeks with a sail of the same design/size if the weather gets better soon.. stay tuned!
Hi, that's a great craft Bris Catamaran. I'm using a IKEA Parasol base for my mast because it's snug between the two sidewalls. Since yours is a flat open base, you could get a piece of plywood (preferably 10-12mm) coated with waterproofing paint, mount a 'rail end socket' with screws, stick the base of your cat with 2" wide velcro all around and put the mast on. That should work fine. Plus the base of that mast could be holding your line cleats or compass or anything you like really. Let me know if you need anything else 💪🏼💪🏼

Thank you Zaki 👍🏼😎
Great video.Could you give me the measurement (width) of the parasol base please. The Ikea version is not available here. Thank you.

@@sitb- thank you for your answer. I see an ambrella base 45x45 cm. Would that be ok?
@@edinthailand2763 sure, but it might be a little snug to fit it onto the floor, but give it a go 👍🏼👍🏼
New video is up! th-cam.com/video/2vKA_AkdYEQ/w-d-xo.html
Great job, but I'd like to see navigation under wind, I mean at least 5 - 7 knots ...

Where you got the sail from?
I made it out of table covering plastic sheet roll
