I am awestruck of how they bowed and knelt down before the judges as a sign of their "Thank you" to them. So much humility and gratitude. That is the best of the Japanese culture. It's just so beautiful and humbling personality from them that I got teary eyed as well.

I cannot remember the last time a dance act had me in tears. What a moving performance. This group embodied turmoil and struggle so brilliantly. Just what I have been feeling but unable to express. Wonderful!

Wow, for an audition, this seems like a performance for the semi finals or a huge performance. It just feels so complete. Also, their bow was powerful. So respectful, humble and thankful.

The audition was out of this world, and then what got me emotional was when they all knelt down and bowed our of pure respect. I personally never have seen that... Congratulations!
This was dance theater and much more than mere movement. I would love to hear a description of the concept because it got increasingly emotional and very powerful. You could see how shaken they all were with watery eyes right after the finish when the judges started commenting. The choreography was like a Living Prayer and a revolution and liberation of some sort and you could see how much it meant to them.
I got frustration and rage from young people pushed to the edge of sanity at the volatile world we have created, yet still finding love and comfort in each other, dressed and made up like victims of an apocalypse. The puffs of smoke they threw might represent the nuclear bombs going off around the country. I think they touched something in us all boiling under the surface.
Yeah, in stark contrast to the purely acrobatic dance acts, this is operatic, I didn't understand the song but I feel like they could benefit from an original libretto.

身体的な違いがあるにも関わらず男女差が全く見えなくてダンサーが女の子達とわかった時感動しました。感情を揺さぶる表現力と技術の融合で信じられない素晴らしいパフォーマンスでした。
本当ですよね。パフォーマンスが終わって皆さんに身長差が少なくないことに気づきました。ストーリー性とか緊迫感とか奇跡のようなパフォーマンスだと思います。
This golden buzzer actually made me cry, they're anticipation and then them dropping to their knees in bow got me good. It was a thank you worth more than words. I truly hope they go far.
Japan's dance group is impeccably unique and unexpected! After Avantgardey, this group is my another favorite this year. 👍🏼

You guys couldn't have picked a better day to post this. It's Nagasaki Memorial Day and I watched this performance with that in mind. The pain that the Japanese people have been through collectively is somewhat reflected in this dance. (At least in my interpretation of it!) Japan stands for perfection and this is nothing short of that - but added with raw emotion that's palpable! Congratulations. This is what our world should be about: creatively working together, creating beauty! Can't wait to see more.
Well deserved golden buzzer for such an unpredictable act! AGT definitely attracts original acts from around the globe. Can't wait to see what is to come from this dance group!

I'm just from a very small nation with a population that is smaller than many of the big US cities, so I'd like to think that a country this big would be able to dig out plenty of talent for the show for decades to come, without importing from other continents..
Imo it would be logical to have a rule that says that in order to enter the show you'd have to be an American citizen, or at least have your permanent adress within the US borders.. (Well, any country that has shows like this)
The name of the show kinda says its all.. And I think that's a shame.. Maybe they should consider making a global version of the show.. It could move host location just like any other world cups..

I disagree with you. Their performance had no difficult dance moves, only decent moves. choreography was good but overall , iop it doesn't deserve golden buzzer.

A painting masterpiece doesn't have to have difficult brush strokes to be more powerful than one that does. I suspect that this was especially powerful in person.

well-deserved. Their dance act is ORIGINAL, EMOTIONAL, and PHENOMENAL! rooting for them in the live shows.
I really like this dance group, I hope they make the finals, and perhaps win. They combine all of the best features of Japanese culture. Starting with total precision and unity, combined with great creativity and beauty, great choreography and music. Not as much physical prowess and athleticism as some other dance groups, but otherwise absolute top of the line. And they are so polite, humble, and enthusiastic. Japan should be very proud of them, as am I for them wanting to perform in America.

I don't even follow dancing, but I can say for sure that they are SO different from other groups. Their movements are tight, in-sync, and very unique! So talented!

I can’t imagine how many hours and how much work they must have done to work on the choreography. Incredible! 😮

I thought i am the only person that crying through half of the performance.. it was so intense and deep.. the last dancer who is standing in the end was giving me most goosebumps, she was really into it.. like she was lost in the dance.. even though the performance was over.

They flew all the way from Japan to audition.
He was like we saw the champions of last year and we had to get on that stage. And ofcourse Simon had to say he thinks the Mayyas are the best dance act they've ever seen. He was so humble to say "I think so too". But wait and see us.
He challenged them. He knew they're act is off the charts.
I also love how he didn't give anything away and was just like "watch and see".
You don't just think about dance when you watch. It's the athleticism, the Speed, the dedication, the confidence, the Art, the talent, the passion, the perfection, the storyline, the Music, the choreography, the sync, the emotions, like I can't even finish to describe it. It gave me goosebumps and chills, my heart was pumping when I first saw it and now I watch it every single time.

The musicality of the entire dance was insane. It was like their movement were instruments. And there were so many elements, even them picking up their clothes to a rhythm was incredible

When the group knew they were getting the golden buzzer they were so happy and you could literally see it in their eyes, like they were almost going to burst into tears. They were so proud of themselves and the fact that they flew all the way to the US makes the golden buzzer even more special for them. This audition was literal perfection and im happy that the judges made this decision!

The two kids who have always wanted to go to Japan were amazing and hearing them say fair enough got me thinking how mature they are and were their greatest supporters. The audition was amazing and seeing them kneel and bow in uniform to appreciate the chance of going to the live show was phenomenal. I loooooove.

That's two mind-blowing Japanese dance groups this year. Couple of months ago it was a girls group called Avantgardey (they should have also got a golden buzzer btw). For some reason, I don't think it's a coincidence.

It may not be the most *technically* perfect dancing of all time. But it was the most *intense* and *physical* and *powerful* dancing I've ever seen. And I had chills from the second they started dancing. The ENTIRE SONG.
same i always get chills and cry whenever i watch them perform. & watch any other chibi unity performance on youtube (the vibe competitions, especially!) and you'll see that they are actually some of the most technically proficient and perfect dancers. the piece to "I Won't Complain" is some of the most incredibly meticulous and gorgeous dancing i've ever seen.
this piece is deliberately "messier" and looks that way because of the sweatsuits--and it fits the piece/intention, etc. lol
also just watch the other videos for fun to keep enjoying their dancing! bc this piece is incredible, and it's one of MANY pieces of theirs that are earth shatteringly good. i can't wait to see what they'll perform for the live shows this season!

at the beginning I was like, this is good but not very technical and then i just sat back and experienced it and i started getting goosebumps. Absolutely amazing!

and I just watched it again and got chills again. SO POWERFUL.
@@keladry12I agree...I was unimpressed at the start, but then it started to tell a story. I watched it over and over again and each time I saw something I missed in the past viewing. It was truly like a very short film and conveyed so many different feelings and emotions.
I can feel the noise of the audience, as you all dance. their screams did not stop, everyone was obviously shocked. the art of making, well prepared. the dancing fits the music, original choreo. unique and like you watched a tv show. nothing like it and I've never seen anyone do it except them. they deserve to be given a golden buzzer.

The Mayyas was inspired by Nightbirde, so they were on the stage in 2022.
And it's 2023 here comes Chibi Unity because they saw The Mayyas.
What a gorgeous Legacy.
They deserved every bit of that golden buzzer! They brought the house down! They are the best dance crew this season and probably equally as good as The Mayas from last season! Can’t wait to see what is in store for them on the live shows!
Amazing to see how this style of dance is exploding on the world stage from all parts of the world. What sets this particular group apart is their performance had a wonderfully artistic embedded story in the visual, the dance, the attire, the music and the lyrics. It was a complete story which is so rare and so undervalued. This to me is what a dance act should be. It should be art by transcending just a great visual look which they have done here in a world class way.

To bylo cos niesamowitego.... To nie tylko taniec, to ogrom uczuc pokazanych w tym tancu.... Proste ubrania, proste ruchy, zadnej akrobatyki.... Ale to wlasnie wrazlowosc i uczucia w polaczeniu ze wspaniala muzyka sprawily, ze ten taniec byl po prostu tak naturalnie cudowny... Zycze tej grupie ogromnych sukcedow❤❤❤❤
I’m awestruck by them. Not only was their choreography, energy, ambience, and music brilliant but their humility and personalities were just so heartwarming. I wish I could watch this for the first time all over again.
Full body chills when that girl rose from the pile of clothes. What a performance!
This season of AGT is going to be stupidly good. I don’t know how it’s even possible to pick a winner with this caliber of talent.

I cannot stop watching this audition! I am a long-time fan of the Japanese culture having experienced so much of it after World War II living in Alberta Canada where many wonderful Japanese families had been interned. This for me was world-class. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!
I was screaming out loud just like the audience. I came back just to see this act again. It was fantastic 👏 So happy for them on getting the Golden Buzzer! Well deserved!
