Eli’s voice is so clean, and he’s just too smooth for one person. Absolutely love it.

Eli is the perfect glue, he never disappoints! Great to hear Layne's voice for a change! I love the high sounds Cesar makes, like in the middle of Layne's singing (you'll hear a lot of it in the minis). Geoff doing his amazing Geoff stuff, and then the high-low towards the end killed me (show-off!). And Ashley ... "WHAT" can I say about her?
I'm telling you, I find new details every time I listen to it (lost count already).
I cannot get enough of this song. Your reaction to Ashley's 'What?' had me dying, and I have never heard Geoff explained better as vocal coaster....just the best. All of them are just killing it in this song and I LOVE having Cesar with the group now. Great fun!

Yeah, you should watch “Fiddler on The Roof,” it’s a great musical and a great movie. This is a real treat, and as someone raised on classic musicals, I love how they honor the original, and pay homage to Gwen Stefani’s version which I always thought was okay, not a proper cover exactly but fun.

Gwen Stefani didn't create "If I were a Rich Girl", she just did a cover of it.
It was created in the 90's by two Carribean women as a Reggae piece.
That run Ashey did.....the one like that in the 5th Element had to be synthesized because nobody could actually sing it. She just sang it. The musical notation for that is just a line of notes at like 89 degrees.

I agree on all your comments, and with further views I’m sure you’ll find even more to like. But I love that you are giving Eli his due praise. Unless he’s really rocking out in a video, he always seems to be forgotten. But he always adds so much to the group. (And don’t forget his lighting skills!)
This is a flashback to the 1990s for me when my kids were in a school play of "Fiddler on the Roof". For months our whole house was immersed in F.O.T.R. This is one of my favorite songs from the musical. You should watch the original movie. I think you'd love it.
She has some vocal cords on her, but so does Goeff. And it's cool that Layne is getting more vocal parts. They all did an amazing job. Is it safe to assume that this wasn't recorded at 1:00 A.M.? That would be an odd time for a landscaper to show up.

Fiddler on the Roof was the first play I ever saw, over 40 years ago, and it's still my favorite. I've always loved the Roger Whittaker version of this song from 1967 but VP's version is now my favorite. I loved your reaction - laughed out loud at your Geoff Castellucci vocal coaster comment. What an app description of him. If you have access to the BTS on Patreon be sure to watch it. Geoff does a little mini interview with Ashley which gives a bit of her background and Tony helped them out with this one so you see a lot of him too which is really nice.

So I've got a song suggestion for you, I didn't know about this one until today. It's called "Livin the Dream" by Five Finger Death Punch. If you watch it, make sure it's the official video because the visuals are important, though you might have to put a content warning on it for your younger viewers, just to keep your legal bases covered.

There are many folks doing music reviews. If you want to stand out, at least do your research beforehand. In this case, you should have been familiar with Fiddler on the Roof and covers of this song.

I'm finally feeling old. This one is hard to take because I love the original version so much. Maybe it will grow on me.
I think it was a song meant to stay within the musical as a traditional piece. However I personally enjoy this rendition even though it misses the point of the song and in larger part the whole story
@@ThreePhase470 I have watched now a number of times and it's grown on me a bit, though I'll never be totally happy with it I suppose. I can enjoy it for what it is. The one bit that irks most is that lack of slowing down and emphasising those words "vast eternal plan?" as was done in the version I knew.
