Fantástico...!!!
This is a very good version of a lovely song. Thanks for sharing.
Still wonderful. Thanks Pete.
Wonderful!
Thank you for the kind words. Inspiration works both ways. The fact that you are obviously passionate about the instrument and took the time to comment inspires me to keep going...as you will too I' sure.
Hello mate, as the writer of this song (I was the ghost writer for the DC5) I want to say what a great job you did on my song. Nice to hear an instrumental version, and so well played!!!! nice to see a guitarist using a thumb-pick (my favourite guitar player is Merle Travis). If you type in ron ryan relax on youtube you can see me singing a song I wrote and recorded in 1965. Also type in Mike Lane ebay and see a video of a friend singing my song 'I sold my heart on ebay'. cheers Ron Ryan.
Ron Ryan Mr. Ryan, you are responsible for one of the greatest ballads in rock music history. For those who appreciate creativity your name IS NOT OVERLOOKED! Thank you for your art!
This is one of the best ever pop songs; I cry every time I hear it played by the DC5, but Pete’s version here is extremely good as well. I was married for 49 years, and this was our song!
@@izziebon It's amazing that a simple love song I wrote about my Wife has turned into so many peoples 'our song'. There have been some wonderful versions of my song but I still think Julian Lennon's version is the best, he gets things out of it that nobody else does.
Beautiful song, nicely doe.
Love it.
Beautiful instrumental of a beautiful tune. Nice Gretsch also! :)
Очень красиво.
My favorite DC5 tune. What great chord changes!
抜群です!
wwwwwwwwwwwwwwoooooooowwwwwwwwwww... excellent !!
From México.

WNET just aired a special on the DC5...worth watching...had not realized what an interesting guy Dave Clark was/is...brilliant businessman

Thanks for sharing , you made my day.
Oh how I wish I could play like you
Wow ... you just blew my mind. Beautiful!
Guauuuuuu beautiful
Thank you! I always watch it
I want to listen to it Bei Mir Bist Du Schon
Absolutely beautiful... I am on line friends with Ron Ryan, the guy that wrote this and many other DC5 songs in their early ears. I hope it is okay that I shared this link with him... He will love your rendition of his song.
I think it’s one of the best pop songs ever written; it was “our“ song for 49 years marriage. There are many good versions of it, but this is one of the best, along with the original DC5 of course.
@@izziebon Yes, it is a great song and this is a very nice rendition. According to Ron, Dave was not happy with the song at all. That is what led to the last song Ron wrote for them, "Any Way You Want It".
@@bobamos3628 it was a lot more melodic than most other DC5 songs which were a bit too rigidly rhythmic and centred around the drumming.
@@izziebon Yes it was and Dave did not like it at all. But Ron had never steered him wrong and he relented. The result was one of their biggest hits. That driving "wall of sound" was also something that Ron had proposed. He had an album, can't recall the artist, that had the same sort of sound and when he showed it to Dave he liked the idea. And their sound was released on the world.
Thanks. Coming from a fellow musician that's high praise.
Love it!
That was great!!
Maravillosa interpretación. Impresionante. Saludos.
Gracias!

@martin160464
Thank you for your kind comments. And hello back to Central America!
@RADLADRICK
Yes. Both are TV Jones Classics. Thanks for listening!
Ron Ryan on this site. Awesome.
nice well done
@ronvonryan Excellent, thanks Ron.
I'm honored. Thank you.
Beautiful. Very musical... You have a smooth sound, almost Hawaiian or Brazilian. Do you listen to slack Key or Bossa? Luis Bonfa or Ozzie Kotani?
This guitar instrumental version of Dave Clark 5 " "Because" is better than the original! Fantastic!_Chris
2 thumbs up
@fish10241 Yes I wrote the song, I was the 'ghost writer' for the Dave Clark Five, I also wrote some of their early songs like 'Mulberry Bush' (the song that got them on British TV for the first time), I also wrote 'Bit's and pieces', and the last song I wrote for them 'Anyway you want it'. My latest song 'Someone' is the title track of Mike Lane's new CD which has just been released, there is a video of Mike singing the song on youtube, just type in Mike Lane Someone, it's on page three there.

that was oh so pretty.
Fantastic version of Because. I wish I could play like that.
Just a quick correction to your description - Because was written by Ron Ryan, one time ghost writer for Dave Clark.
Damn
Pete, would you teach me how to play like in this video? I will be happy to pay for the lesson .thanks
I wonder if you'd show me the chords for this version. It's great for my voice to sing in. Thanks! Awezum playing!
This is a beautiful version, great stuff! Looking for a recording, are there any available?
How do you put your guitar aside and get anything else done?
many thanks for those kind words, if you google Ron Ryan it will take you to my website, there you can hear some of my new as well as my old songs, and also by clicking on my bio read about the true DC5 story.
PLAYED ON A REGULAR BASIS AT O"CONNOR'S FUNERAL HOME..
i really want the tabs but i dont have any money lulz
; ') kool
I love this song, great guitar play man
The dave clark five the only group which stood next to the Beatles .and if it were not for the beatles heavy propaganda of the60s the dave clark five would have the title of the best 60s group of rock and roll. Of all times......2019
My name is not Ron. Mike Smith's name doesn't appear on the credits, only Dave Clark. I get my information from people who were WITH the DC5 at the time, not only Ron. Try to join the DC5 page at Facebook and see for yourself! It's still a fantastic version.
Whoops, I meant facebook, not youtube.
Is that a Gretsch?
Sure is: Gretsch G6120 SSLVO Brian Setzer Nashville
Hello Peter, I have been spreading your version on the DC5 page on youtube, as this and Julian Lennons version are two of my favourite versions of my song (along with Mike Smith singing it). By the way, you can see who I am by visiting my website ron ryan music.com. (you have to join the letters up in the website address)
Gretsch 6120
