  • October 28, 2023 I drove from Vancouver to Edmonton and documented the driving conditions, temperatures, and showcased small towns along the way. This is the MOST SCENIC drive in Canada and October is a GREAT time to do the drive as its lets busy and the skies are clear.
Checkout the video to see the drive including voice controlled GoPro cameras, bumper camera, rood camera and dash camera.
ON the drive I stopped in Clearwater, Valemount, Mt Robson Visitor Centre and a few stops along the way to take pictures.
The final stop was West Edmonton Mall. Great Mall and final derstination on this amazing ROAD TRIP TO EDMONTON, ALBERTA.

Thanks for this video! My partner and I are moving to Edmonton Oct.26 and decided to rent U-Haul and follow up a family member who will drive it for us. I had waaaay worse ideas of how the snow might be through the Rockies and your video has eased my thoughts greatly. Definitely seems like a doable drive for us - if the weather cooperates come later October! Thanks again!

Just wanted to add - we are also leaving from Vancouver area (Burnaby). Is this the best (safest) route to take?

It seems I know every bump, surely every turn on this road :) 11.5 us a good time, I made that only once. More often closer to 12.5

Not too many turns from Valemount, BC. Very beautiful drive, the last 2.5 hours into Edmonton a bit flat but there are many small town to see. Thanks for watching.

@@darrensadventures Yeah, after the turn onto Yellowhead to Mount Robson, the road up to Hinton is breathtaking. Unfortunately, Jasper town burned down a lot a month ago. I drove past on August 14th when Yellowhead opened and it was depressing.

Great video. I was born and raised in Jasper and I was hoping you would've gone through the town. The scenery and the sky were stunning that day.

Wondering what vehicle u had, i'm planning to go on my 2009 Acura CSX. What should i be prepared with??

Snow Tires are a MUST and very important is windshield washer liquid as the windshield gets dirty with snow/slush quickly. I would not travel by car in winter if I could avoid it, spring, fall or summer are best after you check snow conditions. Check out drive BC website, good luck!

@@darrensadventures i agree. It’s kinda important & i guess driving to Edmonton is my only option.
I have got snow tires, chains, coolant i.e. anti freeze, windshield washer (maybe some extra for backup).
Is there anything u can think of? I also have the roadside insurance just in case

Did you have Winter-Tires for the trip? Or chains just in case? Thinking of driving on oct 7th to 16th to Edmonton from Vancouver.

I had Snow ❄️ and Mud tires they have the snowflake symbol its cheaper then having summer tires and a separate winter tire set. By law on October 1 you need tires with the Snow symbol either the M&S tires or winter tires
