From this boater's perspective, jet skiers are annoying. They almost always break the law by coming too close to another vessels. Their noise is like a mosquito buzzing in your ears, all day long!
You know, some people can be really stupid on the water. These people called jetskiers “dockroaches” and they are literary sitting on a big ass cruiser that probably throws a 6 foot wake. That would destroy docks lol.

Ayo, I frequent the Lake of the Ozarks. I motor around on jet ski's and boats alike. The main problem with jet-skiers is that they in general have little consideration for the 10,000lb boats on the water that can't stop or turn like a ski can. The lake is a dangerous place and the majority of jet-skiers are a young population that took a boater's license test and think they know everything. I'm 22 and I even recognize it as a problem, that being said, I've made my fair share of bad decisions on the water and I'm always sure to apologize for them and I generally wave at every boat that I pass. Young jet-skiers have a problem with entitlement on the water and have a growing issue of not simply looking over their shoulder before they make a sharp turn. As a boater it's often advised to slow down when approaching jet skis that are travelling in the same direction as you (especially if they're moving slower than you) because they have a bad habit of turning without looking. Personally I try and be as responsible and considerate as possible when out on the water.
Having owned a surfboat for a few years now, I can tell you I love jetskiers. I have zero problem with them jumping my waves, and enjoy watching the action. As long as they stay away from the skier/surfer and don't follow behind them. If/when that happens, they get an earfull. But 80% of my experience of that dangerous act, has been by old ass geezers in their pontoon or heavy cruiser.
I think that these issues are too deeply rooted in modern day society. Yacht owners might have to pay reparations to Jet Skiers in order to bring about equality. Matter of fact, we should put one Jet Skier on every board of directors, just to show how woke we are too these troubling times.
We own two Yamaha jetski’s and love cruising around the lake but there is a rental place nearby that rents to anyone with a pulse and never instructs them about the rules of the lake or even common courtesy. We see jetski’s running thru anchored boats, near swim areas and even racing each other in no wake zones. Local cops rarely go after them. But those renters ruin it for everyone else.
I’ve riden and maintained several of the charter boats at shady gators at the lake of ozark. Riding on the big 63 foot cruiser boat comfortably numb I would have to say the best part is watching the jet skies jump the waves behind us.
Boaters are funny.. drinking alcohol on motor boats criticizing jet skiers... telling jet skiers to not be so serious... when it is they who are the ones being "serious"... Fact is the boaters don't want to lose their "unicorns & boat maidens" to younger more virile men...
Most people on PWCs don't know or don't choose to follow the rules of the water and are a danger to themselves and everyone around them. It is a fact. That is why people hate them. Other than that they are really fun. We used to have one and I used it mostly for fishing actually.
I call jet sky’s torpedoes a lot of them are dangerous , inconsiderate, and seem to think rules do not apply to them . Years ago they band them from Key West don’t known if it still true but it needs to be .
I love lake lice especially when they come across my wake 20 - 30 feet behind my boat..my son loves it to because it doesn't take long to dismount a pest with a rooster tail from a 750 HP jet boat. my personal dismount count is easily over 50 :) Post your numbers boys ..and girls Just to add no jet ski will ever pass me.. lol they'd have to break 110 Mph to cruise beside me. Aint happening. :)

He missed a completely different perspective. Fisherman. Because we hate jet skiers and pleasure boaters 😂 both can’t back a trailer down the ramp and both don’t know how to navigate on a lake. They cut you off, get in your way, and are just plain out idiots.
