I love this video! I'm going into UBC this year and I'm from Ontario so it's a long ways away from home. I've pretty much seen every UBC video on TH-cam there is and I'm worried about missing all of these social aspects of my first year (jumpstart, imagine, etc) because of Miss Rona ;(

Hmm ill be honest and say that I’m still transitioning academically hahah. Some things are harder than others, but I found that studying what I love has made it easier to do well!

hiii!! ahhh ubc was my dream school too (and still is hahaha✨) honestly ubc is the most international school in north america, so a lot of consideration is given to out of country applicants :))

Hi, quick question from a Florida student. Does UBC accept IB and AICE credits as well as AP? My school has all 3 of them and I'm wondering which one I should take. Currently leaning towards AP because that's the most accepted credit in Canada.
i know they accept ib and ap for sure !! i personally took the AP stream and loved the way my credits transferred!! (except for ap physics 1 which has no transfer equivalent here😭)
Hey, im dutch and might wanna go there for a year. Can you live as an international student on campus and are the a lot of things to do to socialyse with other students so you could make new friends?
yes you can!! my best friend i met last year is an international student that lived on my floor hahaha and YES there are so many things to do to socialize :))
Ok I’m vegan and I’m used to cooking a HUGE variety of nutritious vegan meals so I’m really worried that at Uni I’ll just be eating salads everyday... how are the vegan options at UBC?
ok so the dining halls have pretty good options (salads of course, pasta, and other like bowls and stuff) but my favourite place was The Point, which was a restaurant that takes your res money!! it had amazing vegan options so if you’re ever bored of dining hall food you can go there🥰🥰
they def don’t have as many options as they should, but compared to other schools, ubc is actually really good (probs cause it’s in vancouver and vegan is a lifestyle here HAHA)

no problem!! i’m happy my video could help :)) in regards to diversity, i haven’t seen a tremendous surplus of any race, and ubc does a good job of embracing diversity in all aspects (race, sexual orientation, etc.)!! of course there is always more that can be done especially in terms of acknowledging and representing Indigenous Peoples!! overall its good though :))

heyyy i’m a current 12th grade student in a high school in texas (ew) and it would be an absolute dream to go to ubc and i wanna ask u if ameerican students are required to submit their sat scores in order to get accepted. i personally have a gpa of a 3,4 with a B+ average u could say but my sat score is pathetic tho (i’ll admit i have a 750 as my score). i want to get a chance to get into ubc and i need info on what i need to submit or what i need to gain in order to get into ubc :(. thx u so much!!! ❤️✨

Paying thousands of dollars just to hang out with people and you call it experiences. Not being offensive, it's just some people might have serious issues and academic is really what they need to focus, so saying no is good, we can socialize to some extent as schedule

summer semesters are shorter, so you have to learn a lot in a short amount of time! also you can take more classes during winter sessionb

i think they depend of a variety of factors ! there is a list of the scholarships and their criteria on the ubc website!
