Greatest pure scorer I've ever seen. What a machine. Unstoppable.

Had to watch this after Brunson just broke Bernards playoff scoring high. I was there when King returned to the court after his injury. He was as smooth as they come.

in order to really appreciate bernard king you have to have seen him for an entire game- seen how he got those points and when he was getting them. seen how bad and how many people wanted to stop him- he was a marked man every night- they knew he was coming and they still couldn't stop him... quickest release in nba history and a perpetual snarl on his grill- he was a monster.

This man was scored 49 pts with dislocated fingers on both hands and he dropped 50 on San Antonio then dropped 50 on Dallas kids growing up in the 70's and 80's kids wasn't use to seeing someone do that and then he came back 6 years later after his injuries at the age of 34 and he became an allstar then his best performance of his career was against the Chicago bulls and prime Jordan in their season opener in 1991 and he completely dismantled them by dropping 40 pts plus Scotty Pippen fouled out plus BK lead the Washington Bullets to the victory it was the most incredible thing i ever seen and not only that he was getting better in his early 30's until his body gave out for the final time but it was awesome watching him play.

I am Boston guy but I have so much respect for Bernard king he was so clutch I hated the Knicks. He was a beast and when he hurt his knee and people gave up on on him he came back even better with the Knicks and was in 84 him and I T went back forth against Detroit. And when he had 51 points with wash just a fucking legend even though he. Was. From NY lol and I hated when we played just tough player but nothing but class

Bernard is a top 10 Knicks player of all time. I'm not from N.Y. but I like his style of play. He was a small forward

I can remember crying when I didn't make my junior Basketball team in High School. It was never meant for me to play in the NBA. God had other ideas I discovered Boxing when I was 16. And I fell in love with the sport

BK was a beast. Right up there with Bird, and Dr J as the best small forward at that time.

Might have been a lock for all-time top-50? Nah! He might have been in the GOAT conversation.

The Knicks were just CRAZY to let BK leave. Imagine if they would have had Bernard on those early 90’s Knick teams. I mean in 90,91 or 92. Could have maybe gotten them past Chicago. How could the Knicks let him leave!?!? 🤷‍♂️

Greatest pure scorer ever, and that’s saying something in a league that had guys like:
    Michael Jordan
    Julius Irving
    George Gervin
    Elgin Baylor
    Larry Bird
    Earl “The Pearl” Monroe
    Kobe Bryant
    Tracy McGrady
    Alex English
    Bob McAdoo
    Jamaal Wilkes
    Jerry West
    Tim Duncan
    Rick Barry
    Kiki Vandiweigh
    Kelly Tripuka
Scorers have moves. Those guys all had moves, but none of them were like Bernard King.
No matter what defenders did to him, he could find a way to score…guys would be hanging all on him and he would embarrass them three at a time in many instances.

LeBron is more from the Marques Johnson->Grant Hill lineage. Btw, Marques Johnson was another incredibly talented player. If he hadn’t been injured, he might have wound up being in that GOAT conversation too.

23 spots on the court to score from
People see baseline to baseline and the top of the key. I see grids.
