    This is a much needed episode. I have been praying for my husband to quit smoking for almost 100 day’s no stopping and it seems to me he’s smoking even more. Several times he left to get cigarettes while I was in the middle of praying for him. There are some days I am so discouraged that I sink into a minor depression. I know my peace and joy come from the Lord not from my husband’s quit smoking. Sometimes, I can barely pray. I just type down the lyrics from my favorite praise songs until I am cheerful enough to function. Thank you, pastor Paul for breaking down what David was feeling in such a relatable way.

    this preaching touched my heart and made me cry cause I am feeling so distant from God and I am so desperate. But I will still keep waiting for him, pursuing him, and I know he wants to get closer to me more than I do.

      Each day. Take your time. As long as God sees growth. You will be fine. Tiny changes and repenting your sins each day will make the worst days lighter.

      The amazing thing about the Lord is, we can take a million steps away from Him, but it only takes one step to get back to Him. He promises in His Word to NEVER leave or forsake you… He promises that wherever you are, He is there. It might feel like He is distant, but He is right there with you🤍🙏🏼 He is pursuing you. He is holding you up with His right Hand. Only be still & know He is God, look up to Him even when you don’t feel anything… When we trust His truth, the feelings will follow.

    Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

    I am going through tough times at work. Seems like nothing I do is right. I said to God, I know it'll be over but please
    Father give me something to comfort my heart while it's over. With eyes close I open the bible in a random page and my finger was right there on psalm 69 verse 1. On verse 3 tears started rolling down. God is real and answers.

    Is praising the same thing as giving thanks in general. Or praising giving thanks for an answering a prayer?

    • @aidabarreto9299
      @aidabarreto9299 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. Praising is like telling God how greatful one is that He is a loving, merciful God, it's telling him how wonderful and beautiful His creation is, (sometimes I specifically praise Him for some creation of His that is totally delightful) and that He is faithful, all-powerful, etc. Hope this helps. ❤️

    Bro we are under a different covenant than David was at the time.
    The Lord would send a prophet to him to tell him for his rest.
    This was probably at the time he committed adultery with Bathsheba.
