    My job as a support worker i don't need to wait this much but the problem i am having here is i can't drive on my own so is really frustrating because they dont give me jobs again and my dear sister i am here as new as anything which i don't know my way out yet. We do all calls tea calls dow to bedtime calls. So anyone planning to come to the UK as a carer should try and be a good driver I was not inform this much 😂but last last we will all be fine

    Wow you wait for ages between calls. Mine is one place to another 30mins each visit and the drive in between is the only time I have to myself 😅 I eat in the car I tell you

    Domicilliary is no joke,worst of all you are paid just for the calls.I know you are New in Uk,i wish you will get to see and know the difference and change soonest.If your Visa type permits you,please change to Support Worker or NHS jobs in Birmingham.

      Domicilliary is a waste of time if you can get 1 more or 2 more client in beteew spending all day doing just 4 hour job hun God help us is not easy God we help🙏🙏

    I am doing same thing here in London and I actually think the waiting time is too much and moving from one home to another without a car is kind of hard . Let me no what u think

    Im doing this in Ireland we don’t really have wait times just time for travel between each house i could have 10-11 calls some days

      Oh wow, that’s amazing. The reason we used to wait is mostly cos we didn’t have a lot of clients around that region.

    Does this mean your company doesn't have many clients. That is long waiting hours doing nothing. I know domiciliary only pays the time you are actually working, ridiculous. Thnx for the content and respect

    hello can i ask does the company provide the car or it belongs to your college? and if you heard your own car would you use it instead of waiting for your friends thank you

      Some companies provide cars, with a set plan for payment in place. Most companies require that you have your own vehicle as it makes the process seamless

      Unfortunately in Domiciliary care you don’t get paid for the waiting

    Please the person that is driving you from office to your client house, would you pay him or it’s the company that provide for free

      The company handles that. It’s the duty of the company to provide a means of mobility, unless you have your personal car

    How much do you usually earn if the company is paying you only for the hours you are in with the client?

      Usually between £10.50 - £11 per hour

    good Ure putting it out here, for some us for coming for this role. but my question though is, with these breaks in between how many hours do u get to do in a week. Thanks 😘

      That’s the thing, you get paid per hour(of the work you do). The in-between waiting hours don’t count, sadly 🥲

      Well, it all depends on your expenses to be honest. It’s pretty decent and will certainly pay some.
