- I’ve tried many varnishes & fomulas over the years. And the thing I don’t like about most of them is their pungent smell, toxic fumes, cracking and yellowing (E.g. Resin and Polyurethane)
Therefore, here’s a list of the ones I like. Some of them can achieve a waterproofing effect whle some can only achieve water resistant, which is enough for everyday protection (e.g. water spilling and raining)

Despite the fact that resin is one of the best to waterproof anything, it can be dangerous and unsafe to work with😵I personally don’t want my family and I to go through that, so here’s a vid on how I do it after testing countless varnishes over the years, it narrows down to a few of my favs that are easy to use while providing an effective waterproof/ water resistant coating💖✨

Hi! You can waterproof your clay piece completely with Padico’s Water Resistant Varnish (2 thick coats/ 3 thinner coats) Hope this helps!💖✨🙌🏻
What EXACTLY is cold porcelain. I've tried many kinds of clay and none seem to be cold porcelain.
Ah, I see! As a rule of thumb, cold procelain clay has a very similar quality to Japanese resin clay, in terms of its texture, translucency, drying time and final finish👍🏻It’s very durable and if you seal it with a varnish, it’ll last for a lifetime✨
You can get them in your local/ online craft stores, or simply make it your own with ingredients you probably already have at home. The texture and final product will look the same, it just takes some experimenting to find a sweet spot for the heating temperature of the homemade version🙌🏻🌈Try it out!
