The shield Jon used when Ramsay was shooting the arrow against him was a Bear Island one which means one of the 62 men of House Mormont made it to Winterfell❤👏🏽
Ramsey calls him Bastard in a demeaning way because he feels that way about his low birth. Most bastards have this insecurity, but Jon Snow heeded advice by a certain person, " Never forget what you are bastard, the rest of the world will not , wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you.' So those words don't hit like he feels they should.
Couple fun facts.. After this episode, the actor who plays Rikkon tweeted ‘had a good run #shouldvezigzagged’ The shield that Jon picks up inside Winterfell has the Bear Island sigil.. proving that at least 1 of Lady Mormont’s 62 men made all the difference.. My favorite episode of the entire series is next.. it is perfection..
Am over here screaming for him to PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE....PRETTY EFFIN PLEASE watch the next episode NOOOOOW. LMAO. MUCH RESPECT to the Bear Islanders.
I always love seeing Jon and WunWun and Tormund in the scene before they head after Ramsey. I love that scene! Easily one of the best episodes of any TV show ever lol. I don't think I'm giving anything away when I say just wait for the finale. It's gonna be a banger! Enjoyed your reaction and comments as always.
(Sansa) We will never get him (Rickon) back. He's the heir to Winterfell. Don't do what he wants you to do. (Davos) We need to be patient. Let him charge at us. Ramsey plays with Jonn, killing Rickon just yards away. Jonn does everything they say they shouldn't do. Remind me to never go into a fight with Jonn.
the Vale coming in like that was probably two-fold; a surprise for both the audience and Ramsay. good to keep ramsay surprised; he got too cocky. And the Vale was able to ride in to surround ramsay's army after ramsay surrounds john's army.
Glorious episode i think sansa didnt tell snow just in case he didnt show.trust issues or probably little finger planed it to go exactly the way it did to ensure victory.we can never underestimate him
Sansa really didn't want to accept Baelish's help. That's a deal with the devil. She also had to outsmart Ramsay. Ramsay is cut from the same cloth at Baelish - extremely manipulative & tricky.
I loved when Jon was beating the crap out of Ramsay, you looked like you were there enjoying the take down 😂 If you were satisfied with this episode, you just wait…but don’t keep us waiting too long 😜
my guess with sansa is....she didnt want to depend on Baelish also with Jon the plan was "lets hold back and let him charge us so we don't get surrounded" yet jon broke that to save their brother, even though......sansa told him, "you don't know Ramsey, we're not getting him back" so their army was spread out, ended up surrounded, etc... because Jon was emotional (common issue with the stark men) and not calculating. Jon, Rob, Ned will have noble plans, and then someone will slap a woman and they, forget the entire plan and run into an ambush. Had ned just crushed the lanisterse from day 1...they win, had rob not fallen in love they win... had jon not ridden out to to save his brother they at least had a plan.........If Sansa had let that happen to the vale they probably all would have been surrounded if they left it up to jon snow. She held back, IMO, becaue she saw that to beat Ramsey you needed a Baelish and not a jon snow, the honorable 1 v 1 fighter
I disagree, as of this moment episode 9. Things can change obviously but right now seems like Sansa sacrificed Rickon and was willing to sacrifice Jon in order to be sure Ramsey was defeated. Seems like she purposely held the Vale back until Ramsey's forces were weakened, maybe Baelish's idea. I am eager to find out why she kept the Vale a secret...no spoilers
@@LetsWatchTV89 yea but how do you save rickon, even with the knights of the vale...ramsey would just cut his d off and carve him up infront of everyone cause that's what he does.

@@LetsWatchTV89 Ramsay had the best claim to Winterfell after he married Sansa. Rickon threatened that claim. It was a question of how, and WHEN the best time was to end him. Not if. Ramsay already got rid of his dad and BABY brother because they both threatened his claim on whatever he wanted. Sansa knows all this. That boy was a goner, as soon as Ramsay got his hands on him. +++ Baelish already taught Sansa that no one can spill her secrets if no one knows them. She refused to tell ANYONE what she was doing. That is my perception of it.
@TengAi21 So did the internet and the world have understanding for Sansa when this aired? Am i the only one who thinks she sold out her brothers to ensure Ramsey's defeat?
Right!!! Another great episode. To me, second best fight behind "The Twin Towers" in Lord of the Rings. So much action, destruction and finally good vengeance and vindication. Now the pieces are being placed on the board. So much to unpack. But I noticed how Sansa said Ramsey hadn't fed his dogs in 7 days, but when Ramsey mentioned it, she had left already. Sansa not hearing it firsthand crossed my mind too. I just take it as an off-screen conversation where she asked if Ramsay said anything useful after she left, and someone mentioned the dog thing to her. Like you said though, "But, whatever...". It is inconsequential. Truth might just be an editing error.
AWARD WINNING phenomenal episode you mean. LOL.+++ Ser Barristan died to make room for Tyrion, I believe. I expect same will happen in the books. LOL
I don't believe Sansa ever received a raven from Baelish saying that he was coming. The convo she had with Jon the night before pretty much gives that away. That's why she was being so "negative" (as you say). She was giving Jon a reality check... about Ramsay, about Rickon, and even about her killing herself if they lost. I think Jon is more at fault for the lives lost if only because his battle plans were a bit weak (he had a giant who probably could have taken out a few hundred soldiers from a distance with the right plan). Not to mention that Jon did exactly what Sansa warned him not to... he fell right into Ramsay trap, and his men followed him to their death.
Sansa has been lying about Baelish to Jon for a couple episodes, if he knows there is a possibility of backup then maybe he does wait. At this point in the show she dead wrong to me and to just assume Rickon is dead or will be no matter what is crazy. Cersi like even. What if Brienne assumed Sansa was dead or not able to be saved?
I missed the part about the raven response from Baelish. Thank you for pointing that out. That is one of the reasons why I read other folk's comments; I learn/ discover things sometimes. Excellent points. Thank you.
@@LetsWatchTV89 To be fair, it wasn't an assumption on Sansa's part. She knew that Ramsey had no intention of letting Rickon live. As she said, Rickon was a threat to Ramsay holding Winterfell. Rickon as the oldest of Ned's sons (no one knows that Bran is alive) is the true heir to Winterfell. Jon as a bastard, and Sansa as a female, don't pose as great a threat. Sansa knows this first-hand as she herself was a valuable pawn to the Lannisters while she was a prisoner in Kings Landing. As far as Sansa lying, I can only say that I think it's because of Sansa's trust issues after everything she had been through. She loves Jon and cares about him, but she's really still getting to know him. She's still trying to get her bearings now that she is no longer a prisoner...for the first time in six years.
@@LetsWatchTV89I totally agree with you about Sansa. It made ZERO sense for her not say anything about the possibility of getting The Nights of the Vale to fight for them. Instead she argues with Jon, the night before the fight mind you, about not having enough men, even though they pleaded with every house for help. All the while that heffa might have Littlefinger and his army in her pocket? Man, she pissed me off this episode. And kudos for Jon letting her stank ass kill Ramsey. He even told her about Bolton not feeding his dogs for 7 days. She left before Ramsay said that.
Till this Day it p!sses me off Sansa didn't say a word to Jon that she could call on Baelish & The Knights of The Vale. She didn't have to say they would 100% back them but she could have at least told Jon it was a possibility they could get thousands of more men, when she kept on saying "we need more men". She let thousands of North men die. *The North Remembers*
She knew Jon was gonna fall for whatever Ramsay had planned because he wasnt taking her warnings about him seriously. That part of the battle wouldn’t have gone any different had he known they were coming. I think she was right not to say he was coming, for the same reason Tyrion was an idiot for announcing the Lannister Army was coming. His rep took a big hit on that one. I don’t think she fully trust that Littlefinger was coming.
The fact that your dumb caveman brain would blame Sansa is ridiculous. She literally warned Jon not to go into battle, and he decided to go anyway. Not only that, but then he ruined his army’s plan by falling for Ramsay’s bait, and put them in danger by initiating the first move, which wasn’t the original plan. Those peoples blood was definitely on Jon’s hands, and if anything Sansa saved Jon.
I love your reactions so much!!😭👏🏽 commentary is top tier!!!!!
Also, a dog trainer friend of mine trained Ramsey's dogs. The dog biting his face is CGI of course.
